It was Friday again; another week had passed.

The week was pleasant and lively, with the step-siblings spending time and enjoying themselves together.

They dropped her off and picked her up from school every day because of their not-so-busy schedule. Later, they would have lunch together and either watch movies or share talks.

But today was a little different. The boys were all invited to compulsorily attend a meeting with their manager at their company. The meeting would take place all day, which meant that they weren't flexible enough to pick her up from school this day.

They suggested she spend the day at home instead of going to school because they would be worried sick if it wasn't them picking her up.

But she did end up convincing them that she'd be just fine, and she would ask Jackson to drop her back home. They finally gave in, but a part of them was still unsure.

"Bye, be safe! Take care, see ya." They dramatically hugged their sister goodbye before she walked inside her school building, 'as if she were going forever'.

She chuckled at their whines and went in.

As she walked through the hallway, she was greeted with smiles from the people around her. She became quite famous for being the youngest and smartest. People either admired or idolised her for her perfection, but did they know that nobody is perfect?

Though she hated people and did not enjoy socialising, she had faith in her gut. Her gut told her that the majority of the people at her school were trustworthy and nice.

She smiled back at them.

When she stepped into her classroom, her classmates flashed her smiles and waves, and she returned the gesture. Moving her eyes around, she lands them on him. He was already looking at her; he was sitting away from everyone in the corner. She gave him a slight smile and walked towards her seat.

She looked beside her; the empty seat made her sigh. Lisa wasn't in yet, or she wasn't coming in at all.

Y/N received a call from Lisa last night. She had said that she wouldn't be in for the day because her brother was taking her to his company to meet with some clients who wanted to see his sister. Not in a creepy way, but just to know if she had any work experience to carry on her late parents business in the future like her brother did.

That meant even Jackson and Lisa were busy for the day. And she did not want to disturb anyone. So how would she actually go home?

After school hours, she walked down the isolated road, a short route to her house. It wasn't really dark; it was just cloudy and windy.

Walking at a normal pace with her airpods plugged in, listening to some soft music, and feeling the weather, she felt happy.

Moments later, she sensed footsteps behind her that brought her body to a sudden halt. She sensed the footsteps coming closer and closer until a breath made contact with her neck.

She frowned. It was a man.

She double-tapped her airpod, which stopped her music from playing further. She then swiftly looked behind her.

He was a full-grown, muscular man.

'BHOOM'

His hands froze in the air. Her reflexes were fast.

The guy had a knife in his hands, and as soon as he raised it up to attack her, she smoothly and unbotheredly caught it up with one hand. She gave him an annoyed look and kissed her teeth.

"I'm too tired for this!" She let go of his hands and folded her arms. "I'm one single little 14-year-old girl; do you think it's fair that you come prepared with an extra-blown man like you?" She pointed back.

There stood one more guy, giving out the same vibe as the one in front of her.

"And don't touch me with those filthy hands of yours; I don't want to know where it has been!" She backed away. "I know there isn't really any point in running away since you've come prepared, so I'll just let you take me." She shrugged. "I mean, I'll just follow you because I don't want your hands on me."

The two shocked men, who were still trying their best to process everything, just led the way, and to their surprise, she actually followed them without trying to fight back.

They brought her to an abandoned building and walked her towards the basement.

The man stayed in place and waited for someone to arrive while Y/N took a seat on the chair that she assumed was brought for her anyway since it was in the centre of the room and ropes were kept on the sides of it. She looked around the rusted place and let out a loud scoff.

"I hate this place; I'm not loving the vibe; I'd rather be sitting in Joonie Oppa's rooms right now!" She glared at the man. "Could you guys not organise something more comfortable?" They look at her in disbelief.

"You know if it was someone else in your place, they would be terrified and beg us to leave them." One of the two men said she crossed her legs and leaned back on the chair.

"One, I'm not 'someone else, and two, I am neither scared nor do I feel like crying." They frowned, starting to admire her confidence. "But I would not mind Starbucks, please; I haven't eaten after breakfast."

"DO WE LOOK LIKE SERVANTS TO YOU?"

"Not to be judgy, but that's what your outfit says," she smiles. The guys twist their heads, feeling insulted and offended.

"Can you just not shut up?"

"Umm, don't be rude." She rolled her eyes. "Can you at least be kind and serve me some water? You cannot possibly let a child die due to dehydration."

"HEY! ShUT UP RIGHT NOW!" She flinched hard, and her eyes glossed while their eyes softened at the site.

"I can't believe you just yelled at me! I'm just a little girl!" she exclaimed.

"Ok, ok, we are sorry! I'll go get you some water!" One of the two guys ran out.

She sat back straight and pulled up her smug face again.

"I always get what I want!" she winks. 'This is going to be a long day, the guy thinks and takes a seat on the floor. They had no threatening to do, so they technically had no job to do.

It was evening now. Past 7:00. The boys entered the quiet house.

At first, they were confused, but soon it turned into worry. When they entered, they expected Y/N to run to them. But no, because the house was all silent and dull.

"Y/n!" Jin called out, "Tae, go check her room."

"I'll check the library." Namjoon ran out.

"I'll check the dance studio." Hoseok ran out as well.

A few moments later, Taehung ran down with a panicked face, followed by Hoseok and Namjoon with the same expression as him.

"She's not here!"

Their worlds crashed. Their hearts stopped beating. Their worry about her was taking over.

"Call her!" Yoongi yelled, and Jungkook obeyed.

"It's switched off." Their worries increased. They gulped, not being able to have positive thoughts about the whole situation.

"Wait, try calling Jackson!" Jimin remembered.

"Who has his number?" Oh no.

"What?" she coldly asked.

"Can't you look elsewhere instead of just staring at us?" the guys asked, irritated.

"Where else do I look at the walls?" she sassed "You held my bag hostage, and it has my book in it!" She glared.

"That's because we can't trust you."

"Mhm, but you already stole my phone and switched it off. Aww, my poor brothers and best friend, they must be so worried right now," she again glared. "By the way, Mr. Kidnappers, can I ask you both something?"

"NO"

"Screw that; I'm going to ask anyway. So, like, why am I here? I mean, what are we waiting for? because it's been 4 hours, 27 minutes, and 50 seconds since I've been stuck here."

"Please just hush! We'll let you go when our boss arrives."

"Oh, can I get some food?" The man shot her a glare but still stood up anyway to go fetch her some food. As they were about to leave, she yelled, "I'd like to have a big box of boneless chicken salad with chilly sauce separate and two big bottles of Coke." They huffed at her, then left, seeing no point in talking back to her anyway.

They left, locking her in that room.

After making sure that they had actually left, she smirked to herself and stood up. She first looked all around the place to find anything that might come in handy.

She found an old, giant, and heavy sack by the corner, along with a long, large rope and a wide wooden plank next to it.

She quickly completed her job of setting up her plan and went back to sitting on the chair.

The door burst open, and in came a really furious Lisa, along with a panicked Jackson following her.

"You guys? What are you doing here? Is Y/N with you?"

"Where is Y/N? Why isn't she answering my calls or texts?" she raged.

"We should be the ones asking that!"

"What do you mean?" Jackson asked

"Weren't you meant to be picking her up today?"

"Me?"

They had a talk and discussed all the misunderstandings, making everything crystal clear. They realised neither Jackson nor Lisa were really informed about the guys not being able to pick her up today. Now this is what got them more anxious; they were all about to shed tears.

"I knew it! I knew I could not trust you to take care of Y/N!" lisa yelled

"Shut it, Lisa; you don't even know what happened!"

"Maybe I don't, but I for sure know that I'll burn every single person and this house down if I don't find my best friend!" She kicked the chair beside her.

"Lisa, calm down! We should be calm and think carefully." Jackson cooled off his feisty sister.

"I think we should inform the police and our parents!" They all nod.

"Inform us what?"

Mr. and Mrs. Kim stood by the front door.

During the ongoing mess, they had all failed to remember that their parents were meant to be arriving today, this time from their business trip.

They gulped, fear reflecting through their eyes.

When their parents got to know that their daughter was missing, they went mad. Mr. Kim called every person he knew who could help them find her—the mayor, the sheriff, the head of department. He had connections.

Mrs. Kim was crying hard. It was almost like she was losing her mind.

"SEE! This is what I was worried about! You guys should have kept a watch-" It struck Lisa: "Watch? I think I know a way we could find her!"

The man entered the room and placed all the food she ordered in front of her.

"You're annoying; just know that!"

"Thank you," she grins, and they continue to stare at her. "Are you going to watch me eat?" they ask. She takes a last glance at them, then slowly brings out the mentos pack she had in her pocket.

Seeing they were not looking at her, she hurriedly opened the drink and dropped a few mento pieces in each bottle.

"Watch out, guys!" She yells, rolls the bottles towards them, and runs behind. They could not complete processing everything.

The next second, they found themselves all wet and soggy. Their hair was soaked in sticky fizz.

"YOU BRAT!"

Y/N chuckled and ran away from there as she laughed. The man chased her all around the room in annoyance and rage. She stopped running when she could not go any further. 'Dead end'

They stopped a little distance away from her tiny figure.

"No one is going to save you now!" they said, taking steps towards her.

She turned around and gave them a wide smile. She pulled both her hands from behind her back and squeezed the bottle of chilly sauce she held on their faces.

"AHHHH!" they whined in pain. The hot sauce had landed straight in their eyes. She again took the chance and ran around. "Ughh, catch her!" They were about to follow the sound of her footsteps until they turned the same way, facing each other, and bumped their heads hard together. "HEY! I said, Catch her, not me!"

They again started to run around, trying to catch her with blurry vision.

"I'm here!" They follow her voice and walk straight towards it, not realising they were falling for a trap.

They walked forward and stepped on something that felt like wood.

Soon, their heads were struck by something heavy hitting their foreheads. It was a wooden plank. They groaned, trying to endure the pain.

They fell to the floor, restless and in severe physical agony. Not long later, Y/N rushed to the corner and pulled the rope hanging there with force.

A huge sack dropped on their big bodies from the top, and now they were totally lying on the floor, their heads spinning.

"Ugh, I ha-ate that girl."

"But I'm not done yet!" She walked towards their half-dead bodies with the box of chicken salad that was placed on the floor and poured it on their heads. The helpless men could not do anything but cry and whine while she chuckled.

Right at that exact moment, multiple rushed footsteps were heard from the back. She alerted herself and turned around in a defensive position.

"Y/N!!"

"OPPA! LISA!" She threw the empty box somewhere in the room and ran towards her brothers, parents, and best friend, who stood there with the police behind them. She jumped on them all, hugging them tight.

"You ok?" she nods. They had tears in their eyes, but she had a smile.

"Guys! I'm alive, don't worry!" She wipes their tears.

"Ms.Kim Y/n! We were told you were kidnapped. If that's true, where are the kidnappers?"

"Ummm," she gestures for them to look behind her.

Shocked, stunned, and amazed...

Those were their reactions to the man who was down on the floor, looking weird and half dead.

"PLEASE TAKE US AWAY! We'll never kidnap anyone ever again!" they cried and begged, "TAKE US AWAY FROM HER!"

The men were soon taken away; her whole family glared at them, giving them the look of 'I'll deal with you later' as they walked past them, handcuffed. They all hugged each other once again before going back home.

But why was Y/N kidnapped?
