Soobin silently stepped inside Y/n's room where she was seated at the study table they always used. He stood there silently while she had her back turned towards him, furiously typing on her laptop.

"Stop standing there like a Greek statue and come forward," she spoke, a deep sigh escaping her lips shortly after. She swiftly swirled around on her swivel chair, her body now facing him, her siren chestnut eyes intensely gazing into his doe-like dark brown eyes.

"Didn't Mr. Choi get here early to study better?" she asked, putting pressure on her hands from either side of the chair's armrest, pushing herself up. She took slow and steady steps towards his frozen body, easing their distance.

His face held a cold expression, and his body stayed still, yet his insides quivered at her fiery appearance. It was no lie that she intimidated him; her eyes were so mesmerizing that he couldn't look away.

His voice stuck in his throat.

"You're doing it again, Choi; you're wasting my precious time. I thought you had made your decision?" she frowned, catching him gulp down a lump in his throat.

"Well, let's start then," he tried not to stutter but failed miserably.

"Ready when you are," she gestured towards the table with her arms, asking him to take the lead and sit.

"Well done," she congratulated him, passing back the book on which he had just answered the questions she had given him.

"Guess you really meant it when you said you have made your decision," her voice came out cold and stern.

"I will always mean everything I say as long as you're the one I'm saying it to," he replied, sitting straight, his lips slightly curling upwards.

Y/n let out a scoff of disbelief, leaning back in her chair and folding her arms against her chest.

"Yeah, right," she clicked her tongue.

"Y/n, is it just me, or have you really been giving me a cold shoulder all day long? Now that I think of it, you've been giving me this cold shoulder for the past few days. Why, Y/n?"

His game of playing innocent brought her to roll her eyes in annoyance.

"You really want to know why, Soobin?" He nodded, waiting for her to continue, listening attentively.

"I heard you speak to my brother the other day," he halted, his breath hitching.

"What?" his voice came out as a whisper.

"Soobin, I may see you as a friend, but I will never tolerate anyone speaking to my brothers in an ill-mannered way, no matter what. I don't care if they're wrong or right; they will always have me beside them to support them. So please be aware of your tone and words when it's them you're talking to," she said, each word spoken in an authoritative tone.

"And it's 12. Leave," he held his head low, poking his inner cheek with his tongue. Y/n swirled on her chair, turning back around and continuing to type on her laptop as she had been before Soobin entered the room.

"I'm sorry, Y/n. I'll be more attentive from now on," he sighed, "Bye for now," his voice was not its usual bold or scary self; it was soft and genuinely apologetic. After saying bye, he walked out of the room...

"HEY!! SHARE SOME OF THAT CHOCOLATE WITH ME!" Y/n yelled at Lisa as they both chased each other around the whole house, not caring about who they bumped into during the process.

"Kids, stop running; you'll hurt yourselves," their mother worriedly requested them to stop creating chaos, but they weren't paying attention.

Y/n's other brothers were either watching TV, though not attentively as most of their attention was on Y/n, or helping set the dining table, also not very attentively.
