A new day is waiting ahead of them, ready to be started.

Saturday, Morning.

It's not just a normal Saturday; it's the Saturday that Choi Soobin officially starts his tutoring lessons with Kim Y/n.

Before Mrs. Kim left, they all decided together that Soobin would be tutored at their house every Saturday, 11 a.m.–12 p.m.

The previous night, neither of them got any sleep.

He was nervous. She was pissed.

He was nervous because she made him excited.

She was pissed because she did not want to face him again after the punch she gave him.

She took drowsy steps downstairs, not feeling ready to start the day.

"Morning guys!" She greeted them with a drained voice, and they greeted her back. She took her seat between Jungkook and Hoseok at the table.

"Did you not sleep?" Jin questions the maids passing her the bottle of maple syrup to pour over her pancakes that were just served on the table.

"I did." She gulps and sits up straight. "I'm just tired; I mean, we did stay up until late at night binge watching!" they smiled.

She did indeed trust them and had accepted them, but she wasn't ready to open up, at least not yet.

"It's today that the Soonbin guy comes, right?" Namjoon's voice emulated annoyance.

"Soobin," she corrected, "and yh, he starts today. If he values time, he should be here in exactly 1 hour, 13 minutes, and 45 seconds," she remembered from the previous days at school when he often showed up late to every class.

They sighed

"Do let us know if he is giving you a hard time." Yoongi cracked his fingers.

"Nah, I'll be fine; I can deal with him."

"Choi Soobin. If I remember well, then he's the same guy Lisa mentioned as your boyfriend in Starbucks, right?" She nodded at Taehyung's question. "So, what's your story with him?" They all diverted their attention to her.

She gobbled the food up in her mouth and got up from her seat.

"It's a story for another time!" she winked. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've gotta go get myself ready! Thanks for the amazing breakfast." She ran upstairs. They shook their heads with slight smiles.

"Her smile makes my day." Jungkook and Hoseok chuckled, and the others nodded, agreeing with them.

"Taehyung, you better not make that smile disappear again!"

"Heck, I've learned my lesson, and I could never hurt my sister," he said with pride.

"Our sister!" they voiced.

"Hi." He greeted. His voice projected a cold tone, and his face had no emotions.

"Soobin, is it?" questioned her seven brothers, who stood in front of him.

"That's what my parents wrote on my birth certificate, so..." He shrugged. The guys grit their teeth, already hating his behaviour.

"You, Kid-"

"I'm 17" He rolled his eyes, triggering them.

"Soobin?"

His heart skipped when her angelic voice clashed against his ears. His eyes, which were cold a few minutes ago, had a sudden spark in them now. He looked towards where the voice came from. She was standing behind him, walking out of the kitchen.

He gulped when their eyes met. He tried to speak but couldn't.

"I'm surprised you're on time. Anyway, follow me!"

"To where?" her brothers zap at an instant.

"My room?"

They comfortably took a seat at her study table, which could perfectly fit four.

They were in her room; her brother's did not protest further after all. They just warned the guy through their glares, but was he scared?

Y/N decided to leave her door open, which made her brothers relax a bit. But she had strictly warned them not to disturb their study time.

They did not really disturb them, but neither did they sit still. They kept walking past her door, keeping a made-up excuse in their minds, ready if she did confront them.

"So this is going to be our first session." His heart did not give up pounding at a fast rate. He jostles and nods, trying his best to look away from her. "Before we start," she placed a folder that read 'Rules', in front of him. "Read This." He frowns, taking the thing in his hands and opening it.

He read each statement thoroughly. All of them were reasonable enough.

Be on time.
Do the assigned work.
Always stay focused and listen.
Ask questions if you have any.
Be yourself.

The last one caught him slightly off-guard. The first time someone ever asked him to be himself

He first took a deep breath, getting himself ready to speak to her.

His first time, after a while

"I agree with them; they all seem reasonable." He managed to maintain his cold voice.

"You don't have a choice, Choi," she gave a tight smile. "So, let's start with something easy today." He nods, not looking at her. "How does math sound?"

"Is math easy?" He gave her a weird look.

"As long as you keep practising," she shrugs.

"Yh whatever."

They spent the whole hour working on math. He asked questions, and she answered them. It turns out he knew nothing. And he had to admit that it was the first time he actually understood how solving equations worked. It wasn't as awkward as they thought it would be.

That whole hour was the most they had spoken to each other since they met.

Before, it would only be him talking and her listening inattentively. This time she spoke the most, and he listened 'attentively'.

To him, she was always different from everyone else, and that's one of the things that attracted him towards her; her voice could make him listen all day, no matter what she spoke about. Her face was something he could never get enough of looking at. Her scent raised tingles in him.

In his whole life, if he ever truly loved and cared about anyone, it would be only her.

According to him, it was only her who understood him.

He was too obsessed with her. Too much to recover. She was his addiction. Sure, he went crazy without her all those years ago. He was not going to let her go now.

As the clock stopped exactly at twelve, her brother barged into the room.

"You can leave now, Soonbin," Jungkook said with a fake smile. "And never come back," he mumbled under his breath through gritted teeth.

"Soobin, actually," he said, giving his famous cold stare.

"Potato, Tomato. same thing"

"Actually not. Potatoes contain drastically more vitamins, while tomatoes are rich in vitamin A, vitamin E, and vitamin K, which potatoes lack. Tomatoes contain fewer calories and carbohydrates. Potatoes are rich in micronutrients such as calcium and potassium. " Y/N explained and left them speechless.

"Right." They tried to process all the extra information their brains had just received.

"Anyway, aren't you leaving yet?" Jungkook walked towards her table and stood next to Y/N, taking a peek at their books spread on the table.

The two kids roll their eyes in sync. Jungkook did not fail to notice that; he shrugged.

"Actually, you can leave now. We've covered most of it. We can continue next week." Y/N gave him a smile. A real smile. For the first time ever.

His heart raced like a marathon, and his cheeks flushed with a pink tint. He blushed but tried to hide it. Jungkook, who saw that, glared at him.

"Yh, I-I-should leave now," he mumbled a curse under his breath for stuttering, but played cool and pulled his cold look up again. Only because her brother was present there.

"Please..." Jungkook glared. Y/N gave her brother a look.

Soobin pulled his hand out in front of her. Right when she was about to pull hers out, Jungkook rushed between them and instead shook his hand with Soobin. The two frowned at his actions.

"You feeling ok?" Y/N questions, looking up at him. He nods, and she gives him a suspenseful look before turning to Soobin. "Let me walk you out," she said, and so did Soobin.

"NO!" Jungkook yelled. They frowned again. "I mean, let me do it!"

"Bye," he wished shortly, and he shut the door in the poor boy's face.

When he looked back, he saw his brothers sitting on the couch with their heads hung low. He gulped and again looked to the side; it was Y/N standing there, glaring intimidatingly at him.

"Left your towel in Jimin's room? left your book in Jimin's room? left your pillow in Jimin's room? left your Sprite bottle in Jimin's room? left your spatula in Jimin's room? left your phone in Jimin's room? And Jimin left himself in his room?" She looked at each of them, reminding them of their excuses to walk past her room to go to Jimin's room, which was right beside hers; they were neighbours along with Jungkook. "Seriously guys? At least think of something better!" She folds her hands up against her chest and glares at them.

"Hey! You can't glare at me; I'll ground you!" 'Oh, I'm so scared.' In return, Y/N just glared more at Jungkook.

"Yeah, sure, you'll ground me!"

"Sorry, we were just worried," they apologised, and they looked up at her with a naive facial expression.

A slight smile appeared in her mouth, followed by a melodious laugh.

She wasn't mad at them. No. She was just feeling playful. More than ever, she was low-key happy to know that they cared about her, but she also knew how to protect herself.

"Cmon guys! I can actually protect myself, you know, and Soobin is no danger! He's arrogant, but he has his own reasons. So cheer up," she continued laughing.

"So, you're not mad at us?" She shakes her head, and they join her in laughing.

Another day with happiness flying around the atmosphere—how long is it going to last?
