It was a silent drive back home.

"You want to say something?"

She asked Jungkook, catching him glance at her for the nth time.

"No," he gulped.

"Ok"

"Actually, I do." She looked out the closed glass window and waited for him to continue. "Yoongi Hyung said you love him the most; is that true?"

"Ok, listen up... It takes at least a year and a half to fully put my trust in someone, and to be frank, you're the first person to gain my trust in just 4 days. Your brothers are catching up, I guess, and about Yoongi, yes, I do love him; I have accepted him, but I don't want to play favourites." She looked at him. "I want to get along with all of you without any force, when you're comfortable. I'm not gonna lie; I did think I would have favourites, and if it makes you feel better, you would have been first on the list. Not any more, though, and don't worry, it still doesn't change the fact that I feel very safe with you." she sighed.

Jungkook smiled, relieved, and happy with her answer. His heart warmed. He was very touched.

"If that's the case, I promise to always protect you." they smile "Wait, but if you did say that to Yoongi Hyung, then why?" He puts on a confused look.

"Umm, don't worry too much about it; oh, and look, we are home already." She rushed out as soon as he parked his car.

The girl walked around the house after getting fresh.

She came across the kitchen

She takes a quick peek at the room.

A really frustrated Jin catches her attention. He looked like he was in the middle of a debate, staring at the two different pieces of food in front of him.

Not thinking too much, she walks in.

"Need some help?" He looks at her.

"Umm, No...not really, but thanks for asking," he smiles and continues looking at the uncooked pork and chicken on the counter.

"I can cook; don't worry. I won't burn your kitchen down," she joked.

He again looks at her, this time with a pleading smile.

"Are you really going to help me?" She gives him a duh look. "You're the best," he says, jumping excitedly.

"So what's wrong?"

"Well, I came up with these two recipes, one for pork and the other for fried chicken, but I don't know which one to try first. If I stay back and proceed to cook them both, it'll take a lot of time. Maybe you could help me decide which one I should cook?" He unknowingly pouts.

"Hmm. I say make both," she says, making him frown. "It'll not take too much time if you have a helping hand." His eyes glossed.

They spent the next hour and 30 minutes together getting the food ready, and the smell told them that they had done a great job. Throughout the whole cooking time, they laughed, joked, and shared things about themselves while focusing on their cooking too.

"Oppa, I think this is ready."

"Let me see. Yep, it is, princess."

They high-fived at their success.

"Hyung, we are hungry." The maknae line whined as they walked into the kitchen together.

Y/N and Jin chuckle at the grown man whining like babies.

"Oh- Y/n?"

"Food's ready; go call the others while we serve it." They nodded and left the room.

"This is so good," They said.

"Aish, look at them eating like pigs. And by the way, this wouldn't be possible without Y/N; learn something from her. At least she was generous and helped me, unlike you guys who were just there to eat." Jin growled.

"Wahhh! She's got some skills." Taehyung complimented her unconsciously.

"I know, right," Jimin replied, focused on eating.

"Thanks, I guess?" She whispers to herself, giving them a suspenseful look.

"Oh, yh, how was your first day at school, Y/N?" Yoongi asks

"It was great; I got introduced to three sweet girls." She smiled, satisfied. "And we have a lot of homework," she howled. The five of them who weren't so focused on eating chuckled.

"Well, if you need any sort of help, which is very unlikely, but still, I'm here," Mr. IQ 148 said, and she smiled.

"Thank you—oh shoot! I had to go to the library to grab a few books."

"We have one here, actually." Hoseok grinned.

"For real?" they nod.

"I can tour you around there after lunch," Namjoon offered.

"I would appreciate that," he smiles, and they continue to eat.

"So you mean to tell me that you're the only one who frequently goes here?" She questions him, engaged, looking all around the giant-sized library, books in every corner.

"Yh," he shortly replied and sighs. "The others aren't really into reading, so I often find myself lonely here behind these four walls," he said, a sad smile fixed on his face. It was as if he wanted a little friend to bond over books with.

He's got good company now.

"Well, Mr. IQ148, you've got yourself a partner starting today," she grins.

"You like to read?"

"No, I love to read."

"That's great! How many books have you read? what books?"

For the next couple of hours, the two bonded over books and shared their perspectives on the ones they had ever read and liked. Namjoon adored her smarts and admired her knowledge of books. It came as a shock to him that she had read twice as many books as he had.

According to Y/N, she saw Namjoon as a role model, and she really did appreciate him a lot. She loved the fact that he was a bookworm, just like her. She was pleased to know that she wasn't the only one.

"Y/n-ah, whenever you feel comfortable, can you call me Oppa?"

"Of course, Oppa," He grinned.

They glance at the time and then walk out of the library. Y/N goes to her room, and so does Namjoon.

She walks to her bed, drops the books in her hands on it, then grabs her bag placed on the study table and pulls her note books out. She then proceeds to start with her homework for about three hours.

After being done, she puts all her note books back in her bag and places the library books on her study table with the thought of reading them further later, throughout the weekend.

She walks through the hallway after getting down to the kitchen to fill her empty bottle with water. She looks around when music beats hit her ears, then follows the sound and comes to stand in front of a studio.

A dance studio.

The door was already half open, so she poked her head in.

It was Hoseok.

He was dancing endlessly. He was too abstract. Surroundings did not matter to him.

She saw something on his face she had never seen before.

Sadness.

As far as she knew, he was the most cheerful brother; he was the one to lighten everyone up. But at the same time, she knew better than anyone that 'the widest smiles hide the deepest pains'.

Y/N cherished his moves.

Sweat dripped down his head, the music beat fastened, and so did his body movements. He kept going until the music stopped all at once. He collapsed on the floor, and his heavy breaths swept around the silent room.

She went inside the room and took a seat beside him; he just took a glimpse at her.

"Here," she says, passing the bottle in her hands to him. He takes it and smiles.

"Thank-you"

An awkward silence formed amongst them for a few minutes until Y/N decided to be brave and break it.

"You dance to feel relieved, don't you?" He shot his head towards her, widening his eyes.

"Don't worry, I'm not stalking you." But he still sat, shocked at her words.

He had made sure no one would ever know about his pain, but this little girl was just too understanding, and that melted him.

He looked away as his eyes welled up.

"I can't say I Know how you feel, but I can at least try to give you comfort. It's okay to let things out sometimes. I won't force you, but I'm here if you need someone to talk to. You can trust me," she said, placing her hand on his. He once again looked at her, a tear escaping his eyes.

Sooner, a flood of tears broke out from his eyes, and he engulfed her in his tight grip.

He cried. This time for himself.

It's not that he hasn't cried before. He has, just not for himself.

All the brothers had been through a lot since their debut days; dealing with haters and hate comments was the hardest task for them, and maybe not just them but everyone.

Not everyone has the strength to not care about those things and not doubt themselves.

But Hoseok stayed strong; he started keeping his things to himself, including his brother's problems, who would often go up to him when in need of comfort. He was their happy virus, after all.

But that definitely does not mean his brothers used him or did not care about him.

He just never spoke out and kept it all in. Even after the others tried to talk to him, he just assured them with his sunny smile.

'We never know what someone is going through. A few nice words can help a person a lot more than you think.'

"You know, sometimes we just happen to be so selfless that we forget we've got our lives to look after. Whenever we feel compelled to put others first at the expense of ourselves, we are denying our own reality, our own identity." He pulled out of the hug and thought deeply.

"You know, what? You're actually right! In order to take care of others, I need to look after myself." She patted his back and stood, about to walk away.

"By the way, you're a fantastic dancer; maybe teach me some time when you're free." She then pulled out a handkerchief from her pants pocket and placed it in his hands. "It's not used, either." "Take care. Oppa." She emphasised her last three words, then smiled and left.

He smiled to himself and said, 'I knew it wasn't a mistake to accept you.'
