The five were now walking on the Bringston University campus in awe they were excited about getting their first taste of an HBCU.

"Wow. I bet Princeton isn't doing all this for their homecoming." Jordan says directing his comment to Simone.

"Princeton who?" Liv and Sevyn say at the same time.

"Exactly. Look, if they too wack to accept you, forget them." Spencer tells her.

"Look, guys, I thought the whole point of this trip was to help cheer me up and take my mind off that school," Simone says as they continue to walk.

"Well, yeah, and to scope out the HBCU experience," Liv says.

"You and Sev are the only ones with HBCUs on your list, Liv," Jordan says making Sevyn roll her eyes at her cousin.

"Well, at least they have a list. I ain't got nada."

"All right. OK. Stop the college talk, all right? This weekend is about visiting your aunt and having some G.A.F. Am I right? Grown-ass fun. Come on, guys." Jordan says.

"Why do you always have to abbreviate something?" Sevyn says making him roll his eyes.

Spencer chuckles before pointing out. "Hold up. Hold up. Is that really Cordae on the stage?"

"No way they have Cordae," Sevyn says looking at Spencer with excitement she loved Cordae.

"All right, y'all. Welcome to Bringston University. It's time to turn up." Simone says as they look at Cordae perform.

"As black journalists, you will be held to a higher standard. There's a larger, unrealistic burden on black journalists." The five heard as they walked into Amara's classroom.

"And if you take someone like me, who lies in the intersection of journalism and activism, that burden is even greater."

"Is that your aunt?" Liv asked Simone who smiled and nodded.

"Keisha?"

"So how can you maintain journalistic objectivity?" Keisha asked.

"The same way white reporters do." Another student said.

"Except, do they? Just because the views of whiteness are normalized to be the objective neutral doesn't mean that they actually are." Keisha says making Sevyn nod her head.

"All right. Forget about journalistic objectivity, Keisha. I instead believe in being ethical, fair, and telling the truth. There's a difference. And as for ethics, my philosophy is if it doesn't cross your line in the sand, there is no shame in walking away. But if it does, you pursue it until you have it right, and then bring it all to the light." Amara said while Sevyn looked at her in awe.
