Sevyn got off the elevator with Nate and Simone the three was headed to Bringston's new Cafè.
"So..." Nate started the conversation.
"Uh-oh."
"Why are you saying, "Uh-oh"? I ain't even said nothing yet."
"'Cause I can hear it in your voice."
"Seriously, Nate, that was obvious," Sevyn said with a laugh.
"Well, it's just Dr. P. Called yesterday about that Shea business. I had to tell her everything was fine here, again. You know how much I hate lying to her." Nate told her.
"And I hate asking you to, but, Nate..."
"I know. You want to wait till after your surgery and you get your full pathology results first." Nate said as they all took a seat at an open table.
"Once I get the results and I know exactly what the rest of my treatment plan looks like, I promise I will tell her myself. In the meantime, I found a really cute menu we can use for our early Thanksgiving..."
"Friendsgiving." Sevyn corrected.
"Friendsgiving dinner. It's all healthy, organic ingredients."
"So I can't make my deviled eggs?" Nate asked while giving her a look.
"Please Nate makes the best deviled eggs." Sevyn pleaded.
"Child, after this whole fertility process, I don't even want to hear the word "eggs," so you will be making your turmeric apple cider," Simone told her.
"You're upbeat for a person having surgery in a week," Sevyn said, over the few weeks Simone's attitude on life has improved.
"Well, they say attitude is linked to outcome, so I am keeping mine positive."
"I feel that," Nate said as Simone looked past her with a smile when she noticed someone.
"De'Sean!" Simone called out getting the boy's attention making Nate and Sevyn turn to see the handsome man.
Sevyn and Nate gasps before whispering to each other, "Who is..."
"Yo, wassup, ma? How you doing?" De'Sean greets as the two hug making Sevyn and Nate give each other a look.
"I'm good. How are you?"
"Mm-hmm. Yo, so check it out. My 3 p.m. section got canceled tomorrow."
"Mm-hmm?"
