SOPHOMORE YEAR

Sevyn sat with Simone, Keisha, Nate, and Jesse Sr as they watched the Bringston Lions Baseball play the first game of the girl's sophomore year.

"Ball 3. This has been a rough day for the Bringston Lions." The Announcer spoke as Damon got ready to pitch.

"Top of the seventh, Sims is on the mound, brought in to stop the bleeding. Tennessee is up 7-4, two outs, two runners on base, Glasper up to bat." The Announcer said as Damon threw a perfect fastball right down the middle, "Strike!"

Damon threw another pitch and this time the player on the opposite team hit the ball.

"That's deep center field. It's going. This could be... Yes! It clears the fence." The announcer spoke as they watched the ball go over the fence.

"That is a home run for Glasper and 3 more runs for his team."

"What the hell is going on? We're the better team, but Tennessee Central is running right over us." Simone said as they watched the opposing team make it to each base.

"Maybe if you'd have picked Devin, he would have been better in the first few innings," Keisha said making Nate hum in agreement and Sevyn roll her eyes.

"That is not funny. Besides, he's over it. It's been a year. Is it naive of me to think that Lando would still want to be friends after I chose Damon?" Simone asked them.

"Yes."

"Yes."

"Hell yeah, and I've heard enough of it from Lando to know it," Sevyn told her.

Devin had third wheeled enough over the summer with her and Lando that he was upset over Simone choosing Damon instead of Devin, personally, Sevyn thought that Devin would have been the better choice but she digressed.

"OK. Look... all I know is, someone needs a W, and fast. We can't have the baseball team go down like the tennis team and the lacrosse team did in their championship games," Nate said making Sevyn and Simone look at her, "No offense." Nate said with a smile.
