Sevyn softly murmured as sat at the alumni quad fountain on her laptop finishing her assessment.
Fall break had come and gone in the blink of an eye. The minute Simone and Sevyn left for Beverly Hills there was a certain anxious feeling, Simone was the first one to break the news of the break up then Jordan before ending her night in California playing football with her favorite people.
Simone didn't go into details and Sevyn didn't push her into telling her, she knew that if Simone wanted to tell her she would. Sevyn left California two days earlier and headed to Hawkins to see a certain baseball player.
Sevyn pulled away from her laptop and met the eyes of a stressed JR. He strode over to her with a smile.
"Where you been? You've been M.I.A even Simone haven't seen you around and y'all was just in Cali together," JR pointed out causing the girl to sigh.
"I've been busy JR," Sevyn said.
"Come on we both need a friend right now," JR said holding his hand out.
"Okay," Sevyn said with a smile before closing her laptop and grabbing ahold of his hand while JR as they walked towards Sevyn's dorm.
Making their way inside her dorm, they sat on the futon couch that she added. Sevyn noticed how his eyes kept darting to his phone every now and then as they spoke. "You keep checking your phone. Is everything okay?"
He sighed, rubbing his face as the thoughts of the past weekend ran through his mind, "Nothing's been confirmed, yet. But there's a possibility after all that we're half-brothers. My mom is waiting on the DNA results."
"Oh wow, so how are you feeling about that?"
"Sev I don't know it's like we keep going in circles about this."
"Learning that you and Damon may or may not be brothers again. I don't know 'cause last time you showed yo ass." Sevyn as the two laughed.
"I think I just need an official confirmation but enough about me what's going on with you?"
"Between studying for midterms, pledging, practicing for my professional qualifying tennis tournament, and helping my mentee with her practices JR I am brunt out," Sevyn said with a sigh.
"Hey balancing college and being an athlete is hard and adding in the pledging process is a lot but you got this Sev and you're handling it perfectly," JR said causing the girl to smile.
"Thank you JR and If you hear back from your mom about the results, I'll be here good or bad."
"I got you Sev thanks, I should get out of here I got practice, good luck with your tournament," He said before kissing her cheek and leaving.
