"All right. Listen up. Tennis sessions will be two hours a day Monday through Saturday, weight training an hour 3 days a week, and a one-hour yoga session." Coach Loni listed just as a girl raised her hand. "Yes?"
"What about queen of the court?" She questioned.
"Ah, yes, our annual tradition. Thea, as the reigning queen, how about you school the uninitiated?"
With a smile, she walked over to stand next to Coach Loni, "Yeah. Well, it's teammate versus teammate in a series of single-elimination matches. The last two women standing will battle it out to become queen of the court. You won't get any notice, so... just be ready whenever Coach calls." Thea explained.
"All right, ladies. Let's get to work." She said they all turned to practice on the court.
"Hicks, come see me." Coach Loni said.
"I'll be on the court," Sevyn said before going to the court.
"So you and Simone are close?" Thea asked as she watched Sevyn hit the ball against the practice wall.
Thea wouldn't tell anyone but she was impressed with Sevyn not just because she beat her but because she was just like her just more friendly, it didn't help that the two started to get close with all the late-night practices they did together.
Sevyn gave her a look, "Yeah she's my best friend but I know you don't care for her."
Thea gave her a genuine laugh as she folded her arms, "I don't but I wanted to let you know she won't be participating in team practices just solo practice."
That got Sevyn's attention making her look at Thea in shock, "what why?"
"Well her physical is not up to date," Thea said with a smirk.
"What? She had a physical I went with her."
"Well, the A.D. now required a physical within 60 days of the start of school."
"What, so you over here to get information about it?" Sevyn asked while crossing her arms.
"Never that just thought you should know." She said before walking away.
Sevyn rolled her eyes before going back to practicing, "Bitch."
The only thing Sevyn could think about was that Simone was once pregnant and that would pop up on file, Sevyn knew that she didn't to be known as the girl who got pregnant in high school and gave her baby up for adoption.
