today was benny & i's 1 week. we decided to stay at my house since it was raining outside and there wasn't really anything else to do.

he cuddled into me, tracing his finger up and down my arm. we were watching spongebob, but all i could focus on was him. i still couldn't believe he was mine, and when we told the boys they were ecstatic.

isaac already knew, but me and him haven't been talking as much. carmen of course was still here; and i knew what she was trying to do with benny. she never changed.

"babe, i'm bored" benny mumbled, wrapping his arm around my waist.

"let's go bake a cake" i suggested.

he jumped up and ran out the room. i tiredly got up and rubbed my eyes, then i slowly followed behind him.

isaac and carmen were in his room, as always. mom was working, so we basically had the house to ourselves.

i walked over to the kitchen and grabbed the cake mix from the cupboard. benny wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and kissed my cheek.

"okay so get the butter, milk and eggs from the fridge please" i smiled. he grabbed the ingredients while i grabbed a bowl & something to mix it with.

i poured the mix into the bowl, and benny poured the rest of the ingredients. he insisted he got to lick the spoon.

when we finished mixing all of the ingredients, we put the mix into a tray and popped it into the oven. while we were waiting, we decided to watch something on the tv.

we both watched stand by me when i heard something. it was carmen and isaac in his room, but they were arguing. i rolled my eyes and put my focus back onto the tv.

seconds later, carmen came storming out of the room and out the front door. i glanced at benny, and he was looking at me. i placed a small kiss onto his cheek and he smiled.

isaac never followed her out, but he did go in the kitchen to grab something. i could tell he was frustrated. i felt horrible, especially because i've been ignoring him for a week.

i sighed and cuddled into benny. he hugged me tighter and kissed my cheek.
"what's wrong?" he asked, his voice soft and soothing.

"it's isaac. i feel bad" i said quietly.

"maybe you should talk to him" he said, softly smiling. i smiled back and got up. i pecked his lips before turning towards isaac's room.

i slowly opened the door and quietly entered. isaac was faced towards the wall, but he was on the phone with someone.

"what? is she okay?" he said, his voice getting louder.

"what happened?" i said, walking over to him. he looked as pale as a ghost.

at that moment, i knew something bad happened.

isaac looked at me, his eyes glossy.

"mom got in a car crash" he said, pausing. "she's dead" he said, his voice slightly cracking.

i didn't say anything. i really couldn't believe it. before i knew it, i was on the floor. a loud sob escaped my lips, and i could feel someone's arms wrap around me.

i sat there for the longest time, i didn't wanna get up. i wished and prayed that it was fake, and she was really okay. my throat started to hurt, and my head was pounding. i was lost without my mom.
