i rested my head on the window sill. tomorrow was the day i had to go back to school. i sighed. it was raining pretty hard, and i had nothing to do.

i decided to throw on a hoodie and head to the sandlot. i missed it, the sandlot gave me comfort.

after walking for about 10 minutes, i finally made it to the sandlot. the rain had stopped, but it was still cloudy. i sat at the dugout, just thinking. thinking about everything.

my favorite place to go when i needed time alone was the sandlot. it reminded me of my friends, and benny. i sighed.

the sound of footsteps interrupted my thinking. i prayed it wasn't benny.

i turned my head, and of course it was him. i rolled my eyes and started making my way back home.

"ally wait!" he said. i kept walking.

he grabbed my wrist, forcing me to spin around and face him.

"let me go" i spoke coldly. his eyes softened.

"please" he whispered. i felt guilty. but i shouldn't of.

"what?" i asked.

"let me explain everything please" he said.
i nodded for him to continue.

"me and anna aren't a thing, i promise. i can't live without you—"

"don't" i snapped. "you have had plenty of time to apologize. and you don't know how much you have destroyed me" i said, tears swelling up in my eyes.

"you left me when i needed you" i said, tears falling from my face. he looked at me, guilt filling his face.

i ripped my arm away from him and rushed home. the whole way there i sobbed.

once i finally got home, i ran to my room and slammed the door.

"what the hell" i heard issac say. he walked up to my room and opened the door.

"don't slam— what's wrong" he said, rushing to my side.

"i can't anymore" i cried. he pulled me into a hug.

"shh, it's okay. i'm here" he said. i cried into his arms.

i pulled away from him, wiping my tears. "i'm sorry" i said, sniffling.

"don't apologize. i just want to know what happened" he said.

"me and benny are done." i said. his eyes softened.

"i'm sorry ally." he said.

"i just don't want it to be different, i don't know what i'm gonna do tomorrow." i said.

"i know. but you have scotty" he smiled. i smiled back.

"thank you" i said, pulling him into a hug. he rubbed my back.

"if you need anything, i'm here" he smiled, getting up. "thank you" i replied. he smiled and closed my door. i picked up my phone and called daniel.

"hello" he said.

"are you busy?" i asked.

"no, why? you bored" he said.

"no, i just wanna see you. can you come over?" i asked.

"yea sure. i'll be there soon" he said.

"okay. bye" i hung up. i got up and fixed my hair, then threw it into a ponytail.

a few minutes later, daniel arrived. he had flowers and a pack of oreos.

"oh my gosh, they're beautiful" i said, grabbing the oreos. he stood in the doorway, confused.

"the oreos or the flowers?" he asked.

"what do you think" i giggled. i grabbed the flowers from him and gave him a hug. i let him inside and we headed upstairs.

"why'd you bring these?" i said, placing the flowers in a clear vase.

"i could tell when your sad." he said. "i just wanted to cheer you up."

i smiled, and my cheeks heated up.

"thank you" i smiled at him.

"so what happened?" he asked. i sighed.

"i saw benny at the sandlot, and i ended things." i spoke. he frowned.

"i'm sorry" he said. i sat down next to him and he grabbed my hand.

"things will get better. i'll be here with you the whole way there" he smiled. he was so sweet.

i smiled back, admiring him. we were so close that we could kiss, but i ignored that. i got up and grabbed the oreos from my nightstand.

he relaxed on my bed while i sat criss-crossed next to him.

"are you excited for tomorrow?" he asked. i rolled my eyes.

"cmon, i'll be there!" he whined. i smiled and turned my head away from him.

"maybe." i said. he scoffed.

"i can't believe your not excited to see me" he said playfully.

"of course i am. but i don't wanna bug you all day, you have a bunch of friends and all i have is you."

"and my sister. duhh" he interrupted.

"oh yea. but she has her own friends too" i said.

"i already asked her to stick with you, and she said she would love to" he said. i smiled. at-least i wasn't gonna be completely alone.

"i just hope i don't get lost" i said. he laughed.

"i can see that happening" he said. i rolled my eyes and threw my pillow at him.

"ow!" he said. i laughed.
