I tried to call Pete multiple times on my way to the bar. But the phone was ringing without no one answering it.

My chest was aching, I still had trouble breathing normally. My hands were firmly clenched around the steering wheel and my mind had a hard time processing what was happening.

I finally arrived on the parking lot of the bar. I parked in a rush and opened the door quickly.

I was about to get out when I stopped and froze. I looked on my left, my gaze focused on the glove box. I hesitated. I knew what was inside and I knew what it means. But without thinking any longer, I opened it and grabbed the gun I put there in case of emergency.

Even if for me it was so much more than an emergency. It did feel like a matter of life or death. Because it was Pete.

I rushed into the bar, pushing everyone standing in my way. I quickly spot Tankhun in the crowd. He was clearly not having a good time but as soon as I saw his face, I couldn't refrain myself. He turned his head and saw me. He stood still as I rushed towards him my jaw clenched.

« Are you fucking out of your mind ?! »

I grabbed him by the collar and shook him fiercely. I was boiling inside. I had enough of him. Enough of his fucking stupid games. Pete was not his anymore. Pete chose me.

I pulled him closer to me and looked at him in the eyes but there was no reaction. He was just holding my gaze, not even trying to defend himself. His bodyguard, who was standing a few steps away from us, quickly grabbed me by the arms and pulled me away from Tankhun.

Tankhun didn't move, he even seemed to accept his fate and was ready to take the punch I was about to throw. It was unusual. Enough for me to be even more concerned.

« Khun Vegas! Khun Vegas please calm down! »

Lek's voice arisen behind me. He gently grabbed my shoulder, but I quickly turned around to push him away with force.

I knew my gaze was dark and threatening. I also knew if anything happens to Pete, Lek will be the first to pay for it. Because it was his job to protect him.

« Did you find him? » My jaws were clenched, my fists too.

Lek shook his head and looked down, his arms along his body, he bowed to me. I couldn't refrain my anger. I punched his face, making him loose his balance. He quickly straightened up, his head bowed and his eyes to the ground.

« You had one job. ONE! » I shouted, enraged.

I was about to punch him again when someone grabbed my arm and stopped me before my fist smash into Lek's face.

« Vegas, stop. »

It was Kinn. He had just arrived and when my gaze shifted to look at him, he shook his head with a compassionate gaze.

I lower my arm and roared with frustration. I kicked the chair next to the table making it crash into the wall. People around started to look at me, at us, whispering to each other. I knew I had to control myself. I knew I had to not let the violence and the rage taking over me. For Pete.

« Where is Porsche? » Kinn asked with a slightly concerned tone.

It made me realized he was also worried for his partner. I noticed in the corner of my eyes that he was also carrying his gun in the back of his pants. He didn't come empty handed. He knew deep inside that the situation could quickly take a turn for the worse.
