"Oiii! C-Come oon! One more drink!"

"You drank enough for your lifetime. Now, just stay there and don't try to get up!"

The two young men just arrived at Pete's place. It took them almost forty minutes to get there since they left the bar. Pete still completely inebriated was the main reason.

Still unable to walk straight, singing and trying to put up a fight with anyone who crossed their way. Tam had a hard time bringing him home.

He eventually let Pete fall on his bed and tried to clean him up a little with a towel, perfectly aware that it would be impossible for him to take a shower in this state.

Tam sat beside Pete, and looked tenderly at his friend. His eyes were closed, he was slowly falling asleep but was still mumbling non-sense.

"Pete?" Tam called his name in a soft and trembling voice, his hands grabbing tightly the edge of the bed.

"Huh?"

"What did you do with that man earlier?"

"Huh? A man?"

"The man with the bun...You...And...Him. What...What did you do while you were alone?"

Pete slowly opened one eye and looked at Tam, haggard.

"Huh...We kissed a little."

Tam's heart sank. He slowly turned his gaze away, feeling his chest tighten, a lump in his throat.

"And... That's it? You two just kissed?"

Tam didn't look at Pete. He asked the question staring into space, playing nervously with his fingers.

He didn't want to know the answer. But he couldn't help it. As much as he knew the answer would probably shatter his heart into millions pieces, he wanted to know what this man did to his drunk friend.

Pete slowly turned on his side, sliding his arm under his head, his eyes closed. He sighed and finally mumbled an answer.

"Huh...I-I'm not sure. I just remember his is bigger than mine."

"You made love with him ?!"

Tam suddenly turned his head, taken aback by Pete's honest answer. His hands clenched, his nails sinking into the palm of his hand.

"No! No, no, no! I just touch it."

"You just touched each other?"

"Hmm. Just touched."

Tam exhaled loudly. He was not relieved, his chest was hurting him, tears appearing in the corner of his sad eyes.

"Pete?"

"Hmm?"

"D-Does it means that...you also like men?"

Pete didn't answer out loud but shook his head faintly.

The bitter tears felt along Tam's cheek as he was closing his eyes, his heart broken.

He turned his head once again, looking the other way. Deep inside he knew he wasn't able to look at the face of the one he felt betrayed by. Even if he also knew he had no right to feel that way.

The stranger was right. Tam wished it was him instead of someone Pete knew nothing about.

Tam carefully lay down beside Pete in the dark room with only the moonlight shining through the window.

He stared at his friend's face, feeling overwhelmed once again by his beauty. He missed this. He missed him. Being able to watch him sleep, to smell his scent, to feel his warmth.
