Chapter 21 - Reunited

We woke up and it was game day. We decided to get up and pack up our things before heading off to the stadium. I had to pretty much pull Tommo out of bed and force him to pack a bag. I managed to get him out of the door a lot quicker than i expected though. Leah made us some breakfast before we left which was amazing. we got to the train station and headed onto the train to go to Southampton.

We got off the train and got a taxi to the stadium. it was around four pm when we got to the stadium and Leah headed to the changing rooms. I went to find Sarina to ask if Tommo could sit on the bench with us. I walked around with Tommo to find somewhere to leave him while i could go into the changing rooms to see the girls and find Sarina. i dropped him off in a room with some sofas where he could wait before the game. i knew it would be fine as he was with me and i managed to get him a pass.

I walked back over to the changing rooms, i walked in and everyone cheered "are you playing today kid?" Lucy asked and i shook my head "aww shame, i was looking forward to seeing you back in your boots." she said coming over to hug me. i sat down next to Leah and Sarina walked in, she came over to he and gave me a hug "you okay?" she asked me and i nodded "Yeah I'm alright but my brother is here and he wants to watch the game can he sit on the bench with us?" i questioned hopefully. "of course he can, where is he now?" she asked "he is in the chill room down the hall." i said and she nodded "okay cool, i look forward to seeing him." she said befor going round to check on some of the other girls.

i soon left the changing room and went to find Tommo i walked into the room and there was a security guard in there talking to him. i walked in concerned hoping Tommo hadn't done something wrong "everything okay?" i questioned sitting next to my brother "yes," the security guard started to say,"i was just walking around and i saw him in here alone so i thought i would make sure he was okay." the guard finished saying and i let out a sigh of relief "thank you." i said to the guard as he got up and left.

"okay so, Sarina is allowing you to sit pitch-side on the bench with the players. sound good?" i asked and he nodded "yep, all good. will i get to meet all the players?" he asked as he loved them all because he watches the women's league more than the men's. "we'll see, no promises, but you will meet thee ones who are on the bench." i said and i saw his face light up "which ones are they?" he asked and i tried to remember off the top of my head but ended up giving up "let me have a look," i looked at my phone where we were sent a text with the starting 11 on it, "okay on the bench is, Roebuck, Hampton, Greenwood, Carter, Stokes, Wubben-Moy, Scott, Toone, Russo,Parris, Kelly and England." he looked amazed that he was actually going to meet these people "wait you're joking right?" he said and i Laughed "no." i said and we decided to watch a movie for a bit.

It was nearly kick off and the girls were lining up in the tunnel. i went up to Leah and gave her a hug "good luck, i love you." i whispered into her ear. i pulled away from the hug and she smiled at me "hey where's my hug?" Lucy shouted from behind and i laughed "ask Keira." i replied simply before walking to the bench where Tommo already was.

i walked up to Tooney and Alessia and sat down next to them with Tommo next to me. I could already tell he was starstruck so i decided to introduce him so he would feel less nervous. "hey guys, this is my brother Tommo." i said to them "hey you alright, I'm Ella but everyone calls me Tooney." she introduced herself and he just nodded, Tooney then whispered in my ear "i think your brother is broken." she said sarcastically and i laughed. i pulled Tommo into me and gave him a hug "they love you, don't worry about it just be you." i said so only he could hear.

We sang the national anthem before kicking off the game. it was quite quiet for a while but we were definitely dominating.

The first half was looking like it was going to be goalless until Fran got it into the back of the net in the forty first minute. we went into half time 1-0 up but we were hungry for more. i stayed out on the bench with Tommo giving the girls some space in the changing rooms. we joked around and talked while the other girls were in the changing rooms getting half time talks "okay so why are you being weird?" i asked him and he acted like he didn't know what i meant. "seriously Tooney thought you were broken. Just talk be you they will love your personality." i said and he sighed "It feels strange because they are people i have watched play fr years and now i'm sat next to them, also you can't talk on your first day at Chelsea you thought you would have to quit because being around the players scared you." he said this and although i knew he was right i acted like he was lying.
