Chapter 3 - shooting shots

It was 7:00 and I woke up to my alarm I pressed snooze and rolled over. "You know it would be easier if you got up now." I heard a familiar voice say from the other side of the room my eyes widened I was now fully awake and realised where I was. I wasn't in my bed at home in London, instead o was in a bed in a shared room at SGP with Leah.

"You ok?" She laughed as she walked over to me. As she walked over to me I noticed she was wearing my shorts the ones I had layed out to put on today "yeah. Sorry just forgot where I was. Nice shorts by the way," I said while giggling she looked down at the shots she had on and turned a nice shade of red "Shit I'm sorry, I didn't realise I had picked up your shorts," she said sounding extremely embarrassed
"It's fine no one will notice," I said reassuring her that I really didn't care "yeah I guess. Do you want them back?"
"Yeah but you can wear them for today," I said smiling as I walked over to the bathroom to get ready

I finished getting ready and was now laying in my bed scrolling in my phone. I was growing more and more bored by the second. It was only 7:30 and breakfast was at 8:00 so we had half an hour before we had to go to the dinning hall. I turned to Leah and she was also visibly bored "do you wanna do something?" I said as I sat up
"Sure, want to go on a walk?" She asked
"Sure I'll just get my shoes on," I replied going over to grab my shoes

We had both left the hotel room and were now walking down the hallway. We were in a comfortable silence before we started to make small talk to get to know each other better. We got outside and me being the forgetful person I am I forgot it would be cold and was only in shorts and a t-shirt. I started to shiver and earned a concerning look from Leah who quickly removed her coat and placed it over my shoulders "t-th-thanks" I said still shivering
"No problem, maybe next time remember a jumper" she giggled and so did I

We continued walking for about ten minutes talking about everything and tnothing. Suddenly I felt her hand brush up against mine like she was working up the courage to hold my hand but didn't know how to. I decided that I would just go for it and grab her hand intertwining our fingers. We reached an area where no one was around and we got closer together, we were so close I could feel the heat of her warm body against my cold one. We were so close to kissing when Hempo came running past, we jumped away from each other and millions of thoughts rushed around my head. I was confused but also frustrated that Hempo got in my way.

It was all ok through because me and Hempo were best mates she know everything, apart from my crush on Leah. We grew up together and went through the youth teams together and were really close even when we signed for different clubs.

"Oh hey guys," Hempo said not realising what she had just interrupted "hey," I replied and tried to force myself not to deal defeated by the fact that I was so close yet still so far. "What are you doing out here?" I questioned and she just looked at me and Leah and laughed and said "I could say the same to you two, you do realise breakfast started 20 minuets ago?"
"Really? We must of lost track of time," I said
"No shit, I was sent out here to look for you both as you weren't in you rooms and no one had seen either of you all morning." Hempo said
"Oops well we are coming in now." I said and we all walked back inside and me and Leah went to get some food and sat at different tables as we had different friends.

I sat with Hempo, Beth England, Millie, Rach, Georgia, Ellie, Ella and Alessia and leah sat with Meado, Lucy, Keira, Mary, Lotte and Alex.

I sat down and was immediately bombarded with questions asking where I was. I simply replied with "I went on a walk with Leah." They all looked at me as if they expected more, but when I didn't say anything they just left it and went back to their own conversations.

After eating and chatting for about ten minuets Hempo turned to me and In a sort of whisper said "meet me at our spot, we need to talk." I was confused but she got up and left. I got up about five minuets later and then went to 'our spot'. Since we were teenagers we always met up in this same place if we wanted a bit of privacy, It was outside on the 3G training pitch behind one of the dugouts.

I spotted Lauren and ran over to her, she saw me and stood up. "Hey, is everything ok?" I asked concerned "yeah everything is fine," she said casually "so then why did you say we needed to talk?" I asked growing more confused every second "because you are hiding something from me and I know it." She said which made me think what she could have been referring to. "Ok and what am I hiding?" I asked trying to figure it out "I don't know you are the one hiding it but I feel like there is someone you may have your eye on, a certain miss Williamson maybe?" She asked
"So you do know?" I asked rolling my eyes at her childlike behaviour. "No but you just admitted it. So how long have you liked her?" She asked getting exited "wait wait wait. I never said I liked her!" I exclaimed "yeah but I know you too well" she said "fine I've liked her since the wsl final where we beat arsenal," I said finally giving in
"And your only just telling me now!" She shouted "so how long have you been together then?" She asked and a shocked expression made its way onto my face "when did I say we were together?" I asked
"You didn't but the way you two were about to kiss earlier made me think you were together," she said
"Nope not together, and I have no clue about what happened earlier." I said we kept talking until eventually we had to make our way back to get ready for training.

We got back and I headed straight to the boot room, I realised I was still wearing Leah's jacket that she gave me earlier I walked into the boot room and took my seat next to jill who was the worst person to sit next to because she was so messy. Luckily Georgia made sure Jill kept all of her stuff to herself and didn't make too much mess. I saw Leah walk in holding my jumper and jacket, she walked over to me and I stood up "hey" i said
"Hey, i bought your jumper and jacket down so maybe I can have mine back and we can pick up where we left off with our walk?" She said quietly so no one heard. I nodded and took off her jacket which I had felt very comfortable in and out on my jumper and hung my coat up as you can't play football in a coat.

I walked out with Tooney and we were laughing while the cameras caught photos of us. We got to the training pitch and our coach told us we would be focusing on shooting today. I loved shooting and it was one of my favourite things to do. I started warming up with the other girls and we got on with training. We practiced our shooting and then ended with a little game.

I headed back to the boot room and changed my shoes back to my trainers. I put my coat on and got up to leave. As soon as I walked out the door I felt someone grab me and pull me into a room it was so quick I didn't even realise who it was until we were in the room and I was pushed up against a wall. I was shocked and suddenly felt a pair of lips hit mine for a long passionate kiss.
