Chapter 23 - What now?

I sat there on the pitch still in shock of the question she asked me, don't get me wrong I wanted nothing more than to be her girlfriend, but it meant that the news I was about to deliver would be even harder to hear.

"well?" her questions broke me out of my thoughts. "Leah," i started to say not really knowing where this was going to go, i saw her expression drop when i said her name and i didn't want her to feel bad. "I just need to say that i really love you, i would love to be your girlfriend," her expression changed back to being happy "but" her expression dropped again "I need you to know what is going on before you sign up to this. I don't want you going into this blind." i said and she looked at me confused "what's up?" she asked concerned. "well, you need to know I am not staying at Chelsea." i said and i didn't want to tell her what i was about to tell her. "Okay, so where are you going?" she asked. I was just about to reply when Lucy came running up behind us "There you two are, the bus is leaving." She said.

I got up and put my hand out for Leah to help her up, she reached out and grabbed it. "This isn't over, tell me later, come to my room." she whispered into my ear. I don't know why but it made me nervous.

We got on the bus and i sat next to Lucy as Leah went to sit with Keira, which i was relieved about as i didn't want to have to deal with the awkwardness. "What's happened?" Lucy asked me as i had my head up against the window not talking or interacting in any way, just thinking about the previous conversation with Leah. "She asked me to be her girlfriend." i said disappointedly. "is that not a good thing?" she asked confused. "I want her to know that i won't be living in England anymore." i said trying to keep my voice down. "Who's not living in England anymore?" Millie asked from behind. Lucy gave her look that soon made her quiet. I looked over to Leah who looked upset now putting two and two together and understanding. I felt bad for her, she should have been the first person i told, God why didn't i just tell her as soon as i found out it could have been a posibility?

I spent the rest of the short bus ride back, in silence just looking out of the window thinking. I don't know what about but i was just deep in thought.

We arrived back at SGP and i tried to get off of the bus as quickly as possible, I didn't want to speak to any one. I got off and started walking as fast as i could back inside but i felt a firm but as the same time soft grip pull me back, I felt Leah pull me into a hug and i relaxed. Everyone went inside and I started to cry into Leah's chest. "I'm so sorry, I'm so so sorry." i said through tears. "talk to me, what's happened?" She said softly. I looked up into her bright beautiful blue eyes, why did i ever think she would be angry at me? "Can we go somewhere a little less open?" i asked and she nodded. we walked away as she intertwined our fingers, out hands fitting perfectly like we were made for each other.

We got to a bench in a quiet area and sat down, "I figure your, going to a club abroad?" she questioned and i nodded "where?" she asked and i didn't want to tell her, i felt like it would break her heart. "Barcelona." i said barley above a whisper. "Oh my gosh, I'm so happy for you!" She shouted, it was safe to say this wasn't the reaction i expected. She wrapped me in a tight hug "Why were you sorry?" she asked. "I felt like i was being a bad person by not telling you, the person I'm in love with, first." i said and she looked at me braking away from the hug. "So you decided to think you had done something wrong, i thought i had done something wrong when you didn't answer my question immediately." She said this and i laughed "What would you have done wrong, Williamson?" I questioned jokingly. "I don't know, anyway, can we try this again?" she asked and i threw her a confused look "try what again?" i asked. "Ella Youngs, will you be my girlfriend?" she asked trying to be as serious as possible "I would love to, but are you sur-" i was cut off from my rambling by her lips crashing into mine.

We broke away from the kiss and Leah sat back on the bench, "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world, going into the semi finals of the euros and a girlfriend. What more could you want?" she said and i giggled "Tell me about it." i replied giggling.
