The police advised Julia to proceed directly. However, she noticed a family of five crossing the street ahead of her. She realized that the psychopath would probably hit her again if she stopped to allow them all to cross the street. Julia couldn't live with herself if someone else got hurt. It was her mess to sort out, and she couldn't possibly risk another person's life as well. Julia wasn't speeding, and she wasn't texting or drinking. She was doing everything her mom always taught her to. She was doing everything right. So how could she be in this situation?

With that, she decided to swerve right, avoiding that street, which unfortunately led the crazy driver to press the gas and drive into her, forcing her car to smash into a pole. She gasped and let out a muffled scream. When Julia turned her head once more, she saw the driver wearing an evil smirk. The expression on his face was the last thing Julia saw before the airbags went off and her car collided with a tree. Her car was demolished, and there was blood everywhere. She reached for her phone, only a few inches away. Her bloodied fingers wrapped around the cracked screen. Her hand was shaking so hard she nearly dropped it, but she was able to maintain her grip. She kept the phone close to her face and told Pablo that she loved him, her mum and her dad.

"Dile a mamá y papá que los amo. Love you guys more than life itself." Tell Mom and Dad that I love them. Her voice was quiet and strained. She heard sirens in the distance.

"Ju-? Are you okay? " A pause and heavy breathing were heard. The phone disconnected. The officers could see the crash happening directly in front of their cars but could not prevent it.

"She has crashed. I repeat, she has been hit. Get the paramedics right away!"

Pablo was instructed to go to the main hospital in Barcelona immediately. The policemen raised their firearms and pointed them in the man's direction.

"Get out of the vehicle otherwise we will take you down.", one of the police officers commanded. The man emerged from the car after a few seconds. He was then pushed against the car by the cops, who then handcuffed him from behind. The man made no attempt to flee and was smiling and laughing like a sick maniac. He shouted that he loved Julia and that nobody could have her if he couldn't. The ambulance pulled up shortly after, and they retrieved her body from the vehicle. She lost a lot of blood.

After telling his family, Gavi immediately jumped in his car and headed to the hospital. There was no information about his sister yet; his mind was running a thousand miles. The ambulance finally arrived, and there his sister was... He never imagined that he would encounter her in that condition. He wouldn't wish this upon anyone, not even his enemy. He quickly ran up to her and expressed relief that she was still breathing and conscious. He took her hand in his.

"Stay awake, Julia! Don't close your eyes! Come on! I love you."

He chanted over and over again. His pleas became more and more distressed as she physically refused. He kissed her hand while wiping away tears from his eyes. Soon she felt dizzy, the pain in her body hurt more and more, and her eyes were starting to droop. She couldn't hear anything anymore. Suddenly, everything turned black.
