After an injury, Pedri González is left with frustration and pain, willing to sacrifice everything to play. When his then-girlfriend, Julia Soler, tried to talk him out of playing, he broke things off...

"We are going to do a color run. Get up!" Gavi said as he grabbed Julia's wrists.
She yelled, her voice muffled by the pillow, "Just go! I don't need to come."
Ignoring her, Gavi pulled her out of bed and directed her towards her closet to get dressed. Although Julia was annoyed, she got dressed in a yellow sports bra and black leggings. Pedri and both their families were waiting outside, excited to see her.
"There she is!" Her dad exclaimed while clapping his hands, and Julia gave him a sarcastic smile. They all got in their respective cars, agreeing to meet at the forest. The race began, and Julia being competitive, wanted to win. The colourful paint and rain were already drenching her from every inch, but she didn't let it slow her down. Pedri kept to himself, quietly observing as she ran with her hips swaying left and right. He couldn't help but appreciate her from head to toe, admiring her toned physique and long, powerful legs.
As Julia ran ahead, Pedri noticed her taking a sudden turn and disappearing from sight. He followed her, trying his best to stay hidden, but he couldn't see where she was going. The rain made it difficult to hear anything, and the sound of the drops hitting the ground masked the sound of her footsteps. Suddenly, he heard a loud scream that made his heart stop for a moment. He ran towards the source of the noise and saw Julia's foot trapped in a foothold trap. The metal around her foot was cutting into her skin, and she was in excruciating pain. Pedri's mind went blank for a moment, but he quickly regained his senses and rushed towards her. He was shocked to see the amount of blood already pooling around her, making his heart skip a beat.
"Dios mío, no!" He panicked. Without a second thought, he put Julia's head on his lap and pulled the thing off. He promptly took off his shirt and used it to wrap around her foot to try to stop the bleeding.
"Ow, that hurts", she whimpered in pain.
Tears slipped out from the corner of his eyes, but he wiped them and picked her up in his arms. He exited the hole and ran to find the nearest place. She was losing consciousness, and her eyes rolled back and forth.
"Keep those eyes open, princesa." He said, urging her to keep her eyes open. The sun was setting, casting an orange hue across the sky, and they both knew they couldn't walk much further. As they settled down on the ground, she felt utterly helpless and vulnerable. However, to her surprise, Pedri hugged her tightly as if his life depended on it. The warmth of his embrace was comforting, and she felt a sense of safety in his arms.
The following morning, they finally reached the end, where Julia's family was visibly anxious about their whereabouts. They were relieved to see them together, but their relief turned into panic when they saw Julia's blood-soaked leg. Pedri told them to call an ambulance immediately because he knew she required immediate medical attention to avoid bleeding out.
"We need someone to go with her to tell exactly what happened to her."
"I will go then?" Pedri said while asking for approval from her family. They nodded and said they would meet at the hospital. Pablo asked if he could join them in the ambulance. This was the second time he had witnessed Julia in such a precarious condition, and he couldn't live with himself if something happened to her on the way. Her parents followed in their car, praying for their daughter's safety.
Pedri was sitting in the waiting room with a blank face and legs bouncing nervously. His eyes were red, and his veins were popping up. Julia had been in operation for over two hours, driving him and Gavi crazy. He knew nothing since the nurses wouldn't tell, making him almost lose his mind. All he cared about was Julia and that she was alright.
"Who's here for miss Gavira?" a doctor asked, making his eyes bolt open. The doctor stood before them, clutching a surgical mask in her hands.
"yes", Gavi whispered, voice just above a whisper.
"She is resting now, but the surgury was a sucess. You may see her soon", the doctor explained with an understanding smile. Julia was alright, and she was alive.
"Thank you", Pedri mumbled, overwhelmed.

Julia's heart sank as she found herself once again in the sterile, white environment of a hospital ward. Memories of her past hospitalizations flooded back, haunting her with the pain, fear, and trauma she had endured. The mere thought of undergoing the pain, rehabilitation, and physiotherapy again was enough to make her heart race with anxiety. Just as she struggled to pull herself out of bed, Pedri appeared at the door, his expression one of concern.
"Julia, are you alright?" he asked, rushing to her side and taking her hand in his.
She shook her head, tears streaming down her face, her body trembling with the weight of her past trauma.
"What if it happens again? I don't want to lose my life," she cried out.
Pedri comforted her, resting a hand on her cheek. She clung to him, seeking solace in his embrace.
"You survived once, and you'll survive again. I won't let anything happen to you. I'm here for you," he reassured her, holding her until her tears subsided.
"How are you feeling now?" Gavi said, coming in.
"I'm okay," Julia said weakly, giving him a small smile. "Thanks for Pedri saving me and coming after me."
"Of course, I wouldn't leave you alone," Pedri said.
"I was so scared, Julia. I thought I was going to lose you again." Gavi said, his eyes filling with tears.
"I'm not going anywhere," Julia said, squeezing his hand gently.
"I promise."
Julia's family was right behind them. They all came to her side, hugging her and expressing relief that she was okay. Julia felt grateful for the people in her life who cared about her. She knew she was lucky to have them and promised never to take them for granted.
