After an injury, Pedri González is left with frustration and pain, willing to sacrifice everything to play. When his then-girlfriend, Julia Soler, tried to talk him out of playing, he broke things off...
Things from there take a terrible turn for th...
Julia was busy packing up her things, loading them into her car with the help of her friends Sira and Isabella. Her mother watched silently from the porch. Suddenly, Isabella asked, "What happened to Lando?" and then added, "I thought you guys really hit it off."
"Yeah, why would you not date him? I don't understand - Wait, I do understand. This is about Pedri, isn't it? You don't wanna date anyone because you still like Pedri." Sira said while glancing at Julia. Julia froze for a moment and tried to avoid their gaze as tears welled up in her eyes.
"Hey, hey," she said, holding her face and looking worried.
"What's wrong?"
"Don't you think I want to move on too? There's no use in denying it anymore. He broke me. I gave every ounce of me, and he betrayed me. He broke me so much, and the worst thing is, I still love him. The only thing I can do now is walk away." Julia wiped away her tears and took a deep breath before continuing to pack up her things. Sira placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, and her mom got up from the porch and came over to give her a hug.
"It's okay to still have feelings for someone, Julia. But you're making the right choice by walking away and focusing on yourself. You deserve to be happy and fulfilled, and I believe that this opportunity will help you achieve that," her mom said.
Julia nodded, grateful for her mom's understanding and support. With her car fully packed, Julia made her way back inside, leaving her friends and family still chatting outside.
Julia sat on her bed, staring at the wall as she contemplated the decision she had made. Moving away was never easy, but this time it was different. She was leaving everything she knew behind, including the people she loved the most.
As she looked around her room, she saw the walls adorned with pictures of her and her friends. The memories flooded back, and she couldn't help but feel sad knowing that those days were over.
She stood up, walked over to her desk, and began sorting through her books and notebooks. While she was packing the remaining items, her phone buzzed with a notification. It was a text from Pedri. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw his name on the screen.
[ Pedri ] Hey, can we talk?
Julia took a deep breath and put her phone down. She knew it was a bad idea to talk to him. She had made up her mind and didn't want anything to change that.
As she continued to pack, her mom entered the room. "Are you okay?" she asked.
Julia nodded. "I'm fine. Just packing."
Her mom sat down on the bed next to her. "I know it's hard for you to leave, but you're doing the right thing. This opportunity is too good to pass up."
Julia smiled weakly. "I know. I just wish it didn't have to be so far away."
"I know, honey. But it's not forever. You'll be back before you know it."
As the day wore on, Julia packed up the rest of her belongings, and her friends came over to say their goodbyes. They hugged her tightly, tears streaming down their faces. It was a bittersweet moment, knowing that it might be a while before they saw each other again.
