"So, Julia," her agent Isabella began, her tone indicating that she had an important topic to discuss.
"Your album has been a huge success, and your fans are clamoring to see you perform live. The team and I have been receiving tons of requests for a world tour. Are you maybe interested in doing one?"
"Absolutely! This is what I've been dreaming of since I was a little girl. I've been waiting for the chance to share my music with the world." Julia exclaimed, her grin reaching from ear to ear.
Isabella chuckled in response. "I had a feeling you'd say that! However, before we proceed, there are a few things we need to discuss. A world tour is a lot of work. We're thinking about starting off with a few shows in North America, then heading over to Europe and Asia. We're still working on the specifics, but we want to make sure we're hitting all the major cities."
She nodded thoughtfully. "Sounds great. Is it possible to have the last concert in Spain?"
Just as the words left her lips, Julia's phone abruptly rang, causing a brief interruption in her conversation with Isabella. She hesitated for a moment but then picked up the receiver, curious about the unknown caller.
"Hey, is this Julia Soler?" a deep voice asked.
"Yes, it is." she replied, her heart racing with anticipation.
"Hi, Julia, this is Max from Glossier. We've been following your work, and we're interested in working with you. Would you be open to discussing some opportunities with us in New York? We are thinking about a five year contract."
Julia was struck dumb. She didn't know what to say. This was a dream come true - Glossier was one of the biggest beauty brands in the world, and they wanted to work with her. But the catch was that it meant leaving her life and her family behind to move to the US.
"Can I think about it, Max?"
"Of course, Julia. Take your time to consider it," Max replied in a supportive tone. "We understand that it's a big decision, and we want you to feel comfortable with it. Just let me know when you're ready, and we can discuss the details further." he said ending the call.
"Wow, Julia, that's incredible news! You do realize what this means, right?" Isabella asked, nudging Julia to respond as she noticed her silence.
"I don't know, Isabella."
"Think of it as an adventure. How many new artists get this opportunity? You would be a fool not to take it." Julia could sense every ounce of annoyance through her agent's voice.
"You're no help," she groaned and mulled over the possibility of working with Glossier. She couldn't help but think about the other amazing opportunities that had presented themselves. Companies like Aritzia and Disney+ had also shown interest in collaborating with her. These were once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that could change her life, but they also meant leaving everything she knew behind.

"I don't understand why you can't keep living here." her father asked for the hundredth time. She rolled her eyes.
"Because papá, I need to grow up and explore the world. I can't do that if I'm still living here. I need change. But it's not just that. The longer I stay, the more suffocated and scared for my life I feel, especially after everything that's happened in the past two years. You guys know better than anyone that what I experienced wasn't normal, and I don't want to let it hold me back from living my life to the fullest."
Julia's father sighed heavily, clearly not convinced. "But what about your family? Your friends?"
"I know, papá, but I need to take this opportunity. I can't let it slip away." Julia's voice was firm, but there was a hint of sadness. She didn't want to leave her loved ones behind but knew she had to follow her dreams.
Her mother, who had been silent until now, spoke up. "Julia, we understand that this is an amazing opportunity for you, and we're proud of you. But we're also worried about you. You'll be on your own in a new country, and it won't be easy."
"I know, má but I'm ready for the challenge. I've always wanted to do this, and I can't let fear hold me back."
Her parents exchanged glances before her father spoke up. "Okay, we'll support you no matter what. Just promise us you'll keep in touch and visit us often."
"I promise, papá. I'll call you every day and come home whenever I can."
Her parents smiled, relieved. Julia knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to make it work. She couldn't wait to embark on this new adventure and see where it would take her.
With a deep breath, Julia made the call to accept the offer, knowing it would change her life forever. As she hung up, a wave of excitement and nervousness engulfed her. She was about to embark on a journey that would push her out of her comfort zone and challenge her in ways she never imagined. But she knew it would be worth it in the end, and she was ready for whatever lay ahead.
