"I'm sorry! But he just has the most punchable face!" Arthur argues for the millionth time during this flight. I lean against the window and pinch the bridge of my nose as I hear Evie grunt from the seat in front of me. We're all getting sick of it at this point.
"That's still not a reason," Charles says, also for the millionth time during this flight.
"I think it's a pretty decent reason," Max says as he's nodding, making Arthur fist bump him.
"Okay, great reason," Pierre speaks up, "Now shut up about that fucking jerk, please!"
"Thank you Pierre," I sigh, rubbing my temples. That might be the first time I ever thank him for something, but they have been driving me insane about the whole thing. Charles won't stop asking questions, Arthur keeps telling me I'm not telling the whole truth, Evie keeps saying what Charles wants to hear to justify bringing me to Brazil when I was only supposed to attend Abu Dhabi. And then there's Max, who isn't saying anything but hateful things whenever someone mentions him.
Evie came with me to help me back a bag for the two weeks we're going to be away. Well, it's actually like sixteen or seventeen days, which is even longer. I didn't even have the time to do my laundry before, so we had to work with the clean clothes I had in my closet. At least I had my Abu Dhabi outfit ready, because Dior had sent me stuff to wear and all I had to do was wear them and let some cameras catch it.
I tried to argue with Charles that if I have to go then his mom has to go too, because Elliòtt knows where I live and might as well come after her if he comes after me, which is a very, very, very over dramatic thing to think is going to happen. But Charles said that there's no way he's going to hurt an older, innocent woman, which was my confirmation that Charles only used this as an excuse to drag me with him.
But at least Evie was there, and we had two full days to ourselves while the boys had other things to do at the track. Well, Arthur didn't have anything to do, but he actually finds the other track stuff interesting so he was planning on tailing after his brother the whole week. While I, who had been dragged to Brazil, was going to see it as a vacation as much as I could. Charles may not be allowed to drink, but I don't have anything stopping me from drinking. I don't even have dancing anymore.
When we landed in Brazil, videos of Elliòtt yelling after me had reached the internet and they were everywhere. Which completely opened up the opportunity for me to announce the end of our partnership without people really expecting a reason, because the reason is very well shown in the videos of him going viral. So I did exactly that.
I posted a quick instagram post as soon as we got to the hotel , choosing one of the photos of Elliòtt and I together at the gala, where we're smiling and at least look like we're enjoying ourselves, even though we didn't, and then I added the caption:
Hello everyone! Sadly, Elliòtt and I have decided not to continue the season together as partners. It's been a great season and I want to thank everyone who believed in us, but sadly things can't always work out the way you want them to. I do ask that you give him privacy at this moment and we hope you remain respectful.
After proofreading it, Evie handed my phone back to me, "You're so evil, you're making it seem like he's sick or something."
"He is sick," Arthur replied dryly as he took the phone to read it as well.
"I mean, yeah... I'm not saying you shouldn't post it, because he very well deserves it," Evie shrugged as we got comfortable on Arthur's bed in his hotel room. He was busy unpacking, but Evie and I got very comfortable. Charles, Max and Pierre had gotten stuck downstairs with a bunch of fans, and since I can't really give away the fact that I share a room with Charles, I told him I'm going to my room and now I'm waiting in Arthur's. Evie just came along because we're a trio and she didn't want to be stuck with those three downstairs.
