Escapade

After they actually showered, Xavier put on some comfortable clothes and Y/n got dressed to go after Wednesday it was already close to the appointed time.

– Are you really going to spy on her? – he asked laying down on the bed and picking up his cell phone.

– First, I'm going to protect her, second, I'm going to try to keep her in her room, if it doesn't work she'll have to accept that I'm going with her. – Y/n said finishing combing her hair in front of the mirror, her hair was changing colors quickly, there were only thin strands of red.

– Okay, protector of the mere mortals – Xavier said and they laughed – You need to be careful too... – he said softly as she grabbed a coat.

– If we have to leave, I'll be careful, I promise. – she said getting close to him who nodded and she gave him a peck – See you later, Xav. Love ya... – she said going out the window and puting her coat on.

In a nervous attempt she opened her wings and sighed in relief realizing that she still had full control over them.

Y/n flew to the window of Enid and Wednesday's room and in a confident act she became invisible and listened to what they were saying.

– I've been thinking about my less-than-enthusiastic response to your surprise soirée. And I must admit, I regret not showing my gratitude towards you more appropriately. – Wednesday said " No way she's saying that...".

– You really mean it? – Enid asked, "Absolutely not".

– Take the win, Enid. If only there were a way for us to get off campus and have a little birthday redo. Just two best friends. Too bad the school is on lockdown. Would you look at that full moon... –  Wednesday said and the two stop in front of the window, in front of Y/n, "She's manipulating Enid... And of course enid won't notice".

– Oh, how about I say I'm about to wolf out and get a pass to the lupin cages? And say you volunteered to lock me in. – Enid said and Y/n sighed, "Mo, Enid, don't fall for that...".

– My deviousness has finally rubbed off on you. – Wednesday said – Thing? You know what to do, right?

– Oh, we should wear our snoods. – Enid said "Snoods?".

– Oh, I... I believe I left mine at fencing. – Wednesday said "Liar..."

– Actually, you left yours at the Weathervane. Luckily, Bianca brought it back. – Enid said.

– Like a monkey's paw. – Wednesday said, Y/n realized that this was the moment to enter, became visible and knocked on the window, right after entering the room smiling innocently.

– Y/n? What... What are you doing here? – Wednesday asked.

– Y/n! Your hair is even prettier, mortality suits you. – Enid said smiling and Y/n smiled too.

– Thanks, Enid. – Y/n said to her – I came to talk to Enid, thought she would like to hear how things are changing for me... I couldn't help but hear that you guys... Are going for a walk, you know, my ears are still powerful. – she said realizing she would have to find a way to invite herself.

– You're not going to tell, are you? – Wednesday asked distrustful.

– Of course she won't tell... – Enid said and then her eyes sparkled – She can come with us! Please Wednesday! – she asked with a pout, Wednesday and Y/n exchanged surprised glances, Enid solved everything without realizing it.

– She can come. – Wednesday simply replied and Enid celebrated going to get something from her bed.

– I made one for you Y/n, now we're all matching. – said Enid smiling and delivering the handmade red snoodie while Wednesday put hers on.

– Enid... – Y/n started, she had never had a "friend" like that before, she got emotional about it but put it aside and smiled – Thank you. – she said hugging Enid.

– We have to go. – Wednesday said and the two stopped hugging, Y/n put on the snoodie and the three left through the window – Our driver is at the school gates. – Enid looked at her confused.

– Okay. – said Y/n opening her wings and tightly held the two on either side of her shoulders like sacks of potatoes.

– What are you doing?! – Wednesday said almost screaming.

– You're gonna have to trust me and hug me tight, I'm  gonna be quick. – Y/n replied.

As soon as the two held strong the way they could, Y/n flew very fast to the gates and landed softly near the car that Y/n knew to be Tyler's, Enid and Wednesday were kind of dizzy for about 5 seconds.

Wednesday went to the car window and Y/n could hear the "Jeez!" Tyler said getting scared and she entered the car and Y/n took a moment to help Enid.

– Let's go. – Wednesday said.

– Uh... Uh... Hi. Nice to see you too. – Tyler said as Enid and Y/n entered, one on each side of the car.

– Wait, he's our Uber driver? – Enid asked.

– Uber driver? – Tyler asked and smiled seeing the scene – I thought we were going on a date.

– I thought this was a girls' night out. – Y/n said fanning the flames and Enid nodded.

– There's been a change of plans. – Wednesday said.

– What's up with the weird matching hoodie scarf things? – he asked.

– Don't ask. Just drive. – Wednesday replied and he turned on the car.

Driving off school grounds, Tyler asked the question everyone wanted to know.

– So... Where are we going...? – he asked.

– The Gates Mansion. – Wednesday simply said.

– Why? – Enid asked worried.

Xavier's POV

I was curious (worried) to know if Y/n had managed to keep Wednesday in her room, I needed to make sure she was safe, so I did.

– Hey, Y/n, Wednesday? Are you guys in here? I just came to see if you're all okay. – I didn't get an answer so I entered and saw Thing typing in the machine but none of the three were there and my heart froze, I felt that something bad was going to happen. – Where they are, Thing?
