Sense of Smell

Wednesday and Y/n got out of the Weathervane and walked slowly to Nevermore and as usual, Fester joined them.

- Why are you so quiet? - Wednesday asked walking beside Y/n who had her thoughts far away and her arms crossed.

- I'm just thinking. - Y/n replied without looking away from the path.

- Thinking about what? Did you smell it when we were in the office with Dr. KInbott? - Wednesday asked and Y/n sighed.

- Yes, the same smell. We still need more evidence, I can't accuse her based on my sense of smell, we need to confront her with something, get her to confess, but what can we use? - Y/n said. - We'll have to wait or look further... Tomorrow. Enjoy the night with Tyler, I'll try to get Xavier to tell me something. - Y/n said and suddenly stopped in the middle of the forest that surrounded Nevermore - Wednesday you can come back alone, if you have problems tell Weems to talk to me later. I remembered that I need to do something before I go back. - Y/n said smelling cigarettes nearby and Wednesday just looked at her and walked on.

Now that Y/n was alone in the middle of the trees she followed the scent that disturbed her, she had stopped in front of the "creature", suddenly she saw and felt the cigarette smoke being blown in her face and she gave a step back.

- Whoever you are, you should show yourself and not hide like a coward. - Y/n said brave.

- And what are you going to do if I don't show myself, attack me, Y/n? Ridiculous human. - the creature had a piercing voice, husky and harsh and Y/n was more surprised that the creature knew her name than that it spoke.

- So you talk... Why do you show up here sometimes? - Y/n asked walking around something she couldn't see.

- I'm watching you turn mortal. All for love, what a ridiculous thing. - it said and chuckled.

- How do you know that? Who are you? - Y/n asked stopping and again smoke was blown in her face.

- I'm the one who will kill you one day... Mortal. - it said emphasizing the last word and like the last time, Y/n felt the icy air of the flapping wings she heard, he left.

Y/n went to nevermore and went straight to her room, for the first time she felt afraid to die, why did that creature want to kill her?

She walked into the room and Xavier was sitting cross legged on his bed, looking to his phone, his hair was wet and she could smell soap, he had just showered, she sat on the edge of his bed, he looked at her and sighed putting the phone away.

- Okay, we both have things we can't tell, at least not yet, but we trust each other and sooner or later we won't have any more secrets. In the end everything will be fine, won't it? - Xavier asked with a hopeful look and Y/n realized he wasn't going to say anything about Dr. Kinbott and the secret sessions so she smiled and his face relaxed.

- Everything will be fine in the end. - she said convincing herself that there was still a chance he was innocent and she wouldn't let him know that she had doubts, there was only one thing going on in her head, if he was the Hyde, she would deal with it later, Xavier smiled and she got up getting what she needed to take a shower.

- I'll not be long. - she said giving him a long peck and went into the bathroom.

Y/n took off her clothes, tied up her hair and turned on the shower, suddenly she had memories of when she and Xavier "showered" together, she felt her body heat up and had to adjust the temperature of the shower, which didn't help as she continued feeling hot in a specific place and her body was showing signs of excitement.

She left the bathroom with the towel wrapped around her, locked the door and went to the middle of the room, looking at Xavier who was leaning against the headboard of the bed with his legs stretched out and playing in his phone, he soon noticed Y/n's rosy cheeks and altered breathing and that she didn't get out of the shower already dressed as usual.
