Even with the loud music Y/n could hear her father's voice, and she tried at all costs to pay attention only to the music, but it was impossible.
Listening to him recount some of the times she killed someone was like swallowing needles, it felt like he was telling the truth but not the whole truth.
At some point she had sat down and turned off the music without taking the earphones off.
– After that I didn't know where she went or what she did until she reappeared in 1791 at the founding of Nevermore Academy. I have visited her a few times over the last 200 years. Her last great act was having fought in the Second War, she killed many men, she was the reason the allies won. – Y/n heard him say and was confused and angry, how could he know something the government promised to keep secret.
– How did you find out about the Second War?! – she asked furiously and F/n and Xavier seemed surprised she was listening.
– After your disappearance for almost 240 years, I needed to find my means of always knowing where you are and what you're doing, I still worry about you, you know, a father's thing... – he replied smiling – I think you interrupted the final part of the story I was telling Xavier, if you'll allow me... Or you could tell yourself, don't you think? Tell Xavier what you did after Germany lost the war... – he said using the smoke and Y/n felt the anger rise even more in her chest as the words were forced out.
– I went to Berlin... – she started.
– Where in Berlin exactly? – F/n asked without stop using the gray smoke.
– Führerbunker. – she said avoiding her father's eyes.
– And what did you do there? – he asked smiling widely.
– I killed the German resistance that was there and then forced Hittler to kill himself, otherwise I would rip his head off, he killed himself while his wife was taking a capsule of acid, after that I burned the place down. – Y/n said without remorse and Xavier looked at her in shock – Are you happy now? – she asked looking at F/n with a death stare and he smiled.
– Yes I am, my little girl. – he replied and she rolled her eyes – Now that the story is over, Xavier, I would like to ask you something. – he said looking at Xavier – My little girl is a real monster, is she still worth it? – he asked and she looked into Xavier's eyes who was already looking at her.
– I believe everything she did had a reason, maybe it's like you said or maybe she just can't disagree with what you say because she doesn't remember everything. Even if she was a sadistic monster in the past, it's still the past and she is not who she was 500 years ago. And as for the war and Hittler, she did what she had to do, he was a fucking nazi. So yes, your daughter is still worth it to me and will be until the day I die. I love her. – he said looking at F/n and looked at her at the end and she was on the verge of crying, she thought he would think she was a monster after the whole story but he proved otherwise.
– You chose the right one this time... – F/n said as Y/n hugged Xavier.
– Yes, he is. – she said without looking at her father – I love you, Xav. – Y/n said breaking the hug and looking into Xavier's eyes.
– You two are extremely cute together, but right now I need her alone, son. You can see her later I need to sort something out. – F/n said and Xavier nodded to him and giving Y/n a peck then whispering "See you later, princess." while leaving.
– What do you need now? – Y/n asked annoyed and crossing her arms.
– Your blood. – he replied smiling and she rolled her eyes.
– I should have guessed... After everything you've done, I should stop keeping you alive. – she said.
– Well, I'm your father and you still love me, deep down inside... – he said and she sighed noticing he didn't smile saying that.
– Not here, come with me. – Y/n said getting up and taking him to the Nightshades' library.
– Always beautiful. – he said when he noticed her portraits in the place and when Y/n looked she realized there was one more, the new portrait was the one that Xavier had done, but he didn't say anything to her.
The portrait had something the others didn't, it showed her wings and she was surprised to see how Xavier remembered small details as he never saw her wings long enough.
– What is it? You look surprised. – he asked confused.
– Nothing. Here, do not delay, and do not drink more than necessary. – she said lifting her sleeve and extending her wrist to him who smiled.
F/n held her arm tight and bit her wrist, Y/n didn't feel any pain. Despite everything, her father was the only person who would always be there and that's why she couldn't deny him her blood, that's what make him more resistant against normies attempts to kill him.
– I think that's enough... Dad. – she said and felt him let go of her arm and looked at him, noticing his eyes change from red to their original color.
– I love you my little girl. – he said.
– I... We have to go before they notice we're gone. – Y/n said and they went back to where everyone was.
