i wipe down all the records and make sure none of them are broken while conan deals with a customer. i really don't want to be at work. i feel like i'm always putting in hours, and even then it's not enough. we still don't have enough money. and by the time the weekend rolls around im still worried about the cost.

"hey, tyler, do you know where the copies of harry's records are?"

"oh yeah, which one or ones do you need, conan?"

"all three of them."

"okay."

i go into the back room and start to search for the albums. unfortunately only finding fine line and harry's self titled. i go back to the register and assure conan i can handle the customer. to my surprise i cannot. it's the lady whom assumed me and joshua were both straight about a month or so ago.

"tyler!" she's smiling at me.

it makes me feel awful inside.

"hi, ma'am."

"you're so nice to me," she smiles.

"it's my job, ma'am," i say, trying to hurry and ring her up, "is this all for you?"

she nods, "apparently my son likes this harry fellow... said he was in some sort of boy band. i don't understand why he listens to boy bands though."

"to each their own," i reply, putting the records in a bag.

"there's much better music, though id never tell my son that, he'd get so offended."

i only reply to tell her how much the records cost.

"thank you, tyler," she smiles and walks toward the door.

i smile back and wave, thanking her for coming.

when she leaves the store my smile and hand drop.

"you got something against her?" conan asks.

"yes. i don't like her."

"why not?"

"it's just her vibe and the things she says. she basically told me she thinks her sons' taste in music is horrible... and she's talking about him behind his back. that's awful."

"i.. i concur. i've never rang her up before though."

"really?"

"yeah," he leans against the back counter behind the register.

"i've gotten her twice, once with joshua and now with you."

"oh yeah, how is y'all's wedding coming along?"

"it's... coming. we're still broke."

"man, i was really hoping you two could have your summer wedding this year."

"you and me both."

"im sorry for you two."

"you and me both..."
