"you know how we're broke, right?"

i have taken it upon myself to calculate all the money we have. and honestly it would be better to just rob a small store. than to spend years saving up.

"yes, babe, i know."

"well," i push the laptop top down, facing my fiancé on his phone, "what if we robbed the convenience store down on ninth and avenue?"

he laughs and sets his phone down, "what a stupid joke, babe."

"i know, but honestly with all these bills. it seems like it'd be so much easier to just rob someone than to wait years to save up."

"i was just thinking that."

"yeah?"

"but then dissed it."

"what for?"

"i think id rather spend years saving up with you then go to jail without you."

"that's smart."

"mm. think so?"

"yeah."

-

"tyler?"

"yeah?"

a car passes by our bedroom window, the headlights lighting up our whole room.

"do.. do you ever regret falling in love with me?"

"no.. why?"

"i worry about it sometimes."

"why would i?"

"your parents.."

"so?"

"they kicked you out."

"i know."

"you don't regret it.. at least a little?"

he shifts under the covers, grabbing my hand and scooping me into his arms. his face is only a few inches away from mine.

"never."

i smile a little.

"i love you, tyler robert dun."

"we're not married yet."

"no. but we will be."
