one month until.

im doing the same thing i do almost everyday. i'm working. today i have a shift with the new girl, whom i haven't worked with very much since she started.

"tyler? how many records do you think we sell per day?"

"tuesdays are usually are best days, at a whopping twenty one sells."

"really?"

"yeah."

"and what's the least amount?"

"ten, maybe," i reply checking for any broken cds or records.

"oh. okay."

"why?"

"matty's making me do inventory count and that's the question at the bottom and i haven't been here but a few weeks so i didn't know."

"okay."

the front bell goes off. i offer to finish up the questions on the inventory check while melanie handles the customer. i check a few more answers off the clipboard before putting it in the back room. i grab a crate filled with cds and records and start to stock up on whatever may be missing.

-

im in the back room, counting how much of everything we have and making sure melanie counted everything right, when i hear joshua.

"hey melanie!"

"hi josh!"

"is tyler here?"

"he's in the back."

"can i go back there?"

i pretend like i don't know he's here, because i know he's trying to surprise me.

"yeah sure, you know the passcode."

i set the clipboard down and go through some of the cds when i feel hands on my hip.

"hi tyler dun," my fiancé whispers in my ear.

i kiss his cheek, "hi joshua dun," i whisper back at him.

"did you miss me?" he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me toward his body.

"of course i did," i reply, " i've missed you all day."

"are you off soon?"

"nope," i frown.

"don't frown, love."

"i do have my break soon though."

"see, smile," he puts his hand on my face and makes me smile.

"i love you," i say and kiss his cheek again.

he does it back and smiles too, "i love you too tyler dun."

"you're just saying dun as my last name any chance you can get, huh?"

"exactly."

"do you want to spend my break with me?"

he kisses my cheek one last time, "of course i do," he smiles and spins me around, "mr dun."
