Food. Food. Food. Where are you?
I sang to myself as I was driving around downtown.
During lunch it was hard to find a place that wasn't crowded with grubby teenagers while also finding something you like. I made my way past a full Taco Bell. I didn't really like Taco Bell that much but I could've eaten anything. I almost had a heart attack as a scrawny cat ran across the street right in front of my car.
Watch out you little fur ball. I could eat you.
Wait what am I saying? I can't eat a cat.
I was pretty sure that my kitty, Sugar, would not appreciate me eating her friends.
I knew what I wanted. I drove into the parking lot of Chipotle.
I ordered two burritos with chicken, lime rice, black beans, lettuce, that salsa with the corn, guacamole, and cheese. They were the fattest things I'd ever seen.
Now these are burritos.
I sat down at table for four near the window. With my burritos. No shame.
I dug my face into one of the burritos. I finished it in record time. Sometimes I had Catya time me while I ate big meals. I loved the look on her face when I ate four hot dogs in a minute and a half. I wasn't an ugly eater. I didn't get food all over my face or anything. I just ate really fast and a lot.
As I was finishing my second burrito, contemplating getting a third, I recognized a shiny silver car.
It belonged to Ace Derickson. I had never actually talked to the guy. I didn't even think I knew anyone who had. Everyone was afraid of him.
Good-looking or not, he was just another boy.
As his shiny silver car faded from my view. I got back to my burrito that was no longer there.
I think I'll have another one.
