Chapter 17

Lana

"Uh. I have to pee." Misa said.

She got up and almost walked into the guys bathroom. Just before she opened the door she stopped herself and changed direction.

Weird girl.

"I gots to piss." One of the boys from Xander's table said.

I had heard him say something about my pancakes earlier because apparently this kid didn't know how to whisper. He'd also been blatantly obvious about checking out Catya.

As he was walking by I had the sudden urge to stretch my leg that was aching for some odd reason. The clumsy boy fell flat on his face.

"Oops." I said, my voice completely lacking sincerity. Xander and the other guy were laughing hysterically at their table.

The clumsy boy got up quickly and looked at me curiously, but continued walking to the bathroom.

"What the hell?" The guy in the wheelchair said. His lap was drenched in water and there was an empty class laying on his side in front of him.

The clumsy boy must have bumped into his table when he tripped.

"I'll go grab some more napkins." The woman he was sitting with said as she got up. I assumed it was his mother.

He began wiping off his lap with both hands.

I thought he had a broken arm.

He was using his casted arm like it was completely healed.

Is this not weird?

"Kade? What are you doing?" His mom looked worried.

"Trying to dry my pants." Kade said with a 'duh' expression.

"Your arm?" His mom said clearly as confused as I was.

"Was he just faking or what?" Catya said. She must have also been watching that whole scene. Her comment made the rest of our table turn their attention to Kade.

"What do you mean?" Kade asked.

"Doesn't it hurt?" His mom asked.

He looked down at his cast and looked back up at his mother curiously. "No." He shook his head. "It doesn't." He said. "Not even a little bit." He looked confused.

"Psh. Giving me a hard time for nothing." Haylin mumbled turning her attention back to her food.

In the corner of my eye I saw Misa sitting with Ace at another table.

I waited in the bathroom stall for a while and read the carvings on the walls.

I figured it was time for me to come out.

I washed my hands and left the bathroom.

"I'll go grab some more napkins." I heard Kade's mother say. Apparently he had spilled some water on himself.
