~Lana

It had been a week since we had discovered the Octagon. That was possibly the weirdest day of my life. I say possibly, because most of my life, I've completely forgotten so I really can't say for sure if that's true.

But I know one thing good that came from that day. I finally got my leg healed. It was really gross when I finally got my cast off, but it looked a lot better today.

It was our first official meeting.

I didn't think I would be excited, but I think I actually was. I finally felt like I was doing something with my new life. Something that was different from old Lana.

I walked into Charlie's Tea Shop, and made my way up to the second floor, where the apartment was.

I was the third one to get there. Haylin and Xander had beat me.

That must have been interesting. I wonder what they talked about.

"How long have you two been waiting?" I asked.

"I just got here." Xander said.

"Not long." Haylin said. She was sitting on one of the armchairs and he was sitting on the couch.

They didn't seem to have talked at all before I arrived.

They both seemed completely disinterested in each other.

I noticed that a beanbag had been added to the seating area.

"What's with this mood?" Ryder asked as he walked in confidently.

Ryland walked in right behind him. They made their way to the other side of the couch.

I hadn't chosen a seat yet.

I felt like I was picking a spot in the cafeteria. I could sit next to Haylin, the sweet, bubbly girl, or Ryder and Ryland, the strange, but amusing brother and sister, or Xander.

Although, Haylin, Ryder, and Ryland were friends, they were part of old Lana's life.

I sat on the couch next to Xander.

Even though his first impression was boring, and his second impression was a headache, he was new. And you know what they say.

Third time's the charm.

He smiled as I sat next to him.

It wasn't long until Catya and Evina walked in. Catya sat on the armchair, but Evina sat next to Ryder on the couch.

I had expected her to sit next to her sister, like last week.

Ace entered next, without the puppy.

He took a seat on the beanbag.

Considering his options, were next to either Xander or me, that was a good decision.

Kade entered next. He looked around quickly and sat himself down on the other side of Xander.

"Where's your puppy?" I asked Ace.

"Excuse me?" Ace asked.

"Your puppy. The thing that's always following you around." I explained.

"How should I know?" Ace shrugged.

Soon after, the Misa puppy burst into the room, panting. She caught her breath quickly.
