Side note: did you know theres a such thing as human-sized bats? Well-they're not actually bats. But they damn sure look like them. I'll add a picture ☝🏽. Okay sorry back to the story.
Levi woke up to a man blaring a blowtorch at zombies. He didn't recall how he ended up here, but all he knew was there was a man with a blowtorch and now he was aiming at him. He ducked out of the way and scrambled towards a pack of zombies, then quickly backed away from them so they wouldn't turn him. A woman pointed a gun at him and he tried to speak but it came out as a gurgled noise. He knew the only other way to survive was to attack, so he ran at the woman and tossed her gun out of her hands, tackling her to the ground. Nets came out of the ceiling, dropping down on everyone except for him and the people with weapons.
He took a better look at their outfits and saw there were scratches and bite marks, definitely from the zombies. But he was confused, these people weren't convulsing and turning like everyone was just hours ago. Or--was that a few days ago? He tried to recall what happened the day the apocalypse began but he couldn't place his finger on anything past today. One of the men with weapons took his helmet off and pointed at Levi, his face darkening.
"It's aliiiiiive!" He snickered.

Levi was cuffed and lead to a room with a big dentist chair. He was forced to lay back on it, and to his confusion--he was strapped down. A woman approached him with an electric file and his eyes went wide. He growled at her as she reached for his mouth and he attempted to close it, but to no avail. The woman went to work on his teeth, and if he wasn't worried about the file touching his tongue he'd have bit her damn hand off. When she was done, he ran his tongue along his teeth. They were sharp, to his surprise, and nicked his tongue.
"Ow!" He shouted.
"Yeah, you might not wanna do too much with your mouth from now on." A tall man with blonde hair says. Levi hadn't even noticed him, but it seems he was watching the entire thing go on.
"W-where am I?" Levi spoke, ignoring the slight sting on his tongue.
The man hummed, but he didn't answer Levi's question. Levi studied the man before rolling his eyes. The woman grabbed his hands gently, with a pair of gloves on, and filed his nails down. He hadn't even bothered to look at his fingers, but he had nails longer than they'd ever been before. They almost looked like...a zombie's nails. He pushed the thought away. He wasn't a zombie.
Once the woman was done, Levi was realeased and cuffed again. He was then led to a cell. The tall man who had been with him followed him into the cell and shut the door. His nails have been filed down to a stump and his teeth are as sharp as Levi's. Levi glared at the tall male and walked over to a little bed that was hanging on a wall. He looked over and saw a mirror, then he gasped in horror.
There were four, long nail marks running down his neck. As if someone had stratched him. Or rather, something. Then it all made sense. The way they strapped him down, why his teeth and nails were so long, why he was in that room with zombies--why those people were attacking him--everything. He was a zombie. The events of the day of the apocalypse came rushing back to him in one big cluster.

"Miche!!" Levi hollered. Miche screamed as Mr. Shadis dug his fingers into his stomach. Shadis ripped his stomach to shreds, pulling him to the ground. He cracked his head open and began shoving bits of brain into his mouth. Miche shuddered before falling dead. Levi would have allowed himself to die right then and there, but his younger cousin grabbed his arm and yanked him back to reality. They ran for what felt like hours, but was realistically only a few minutes. There were dead bodies littered everywhere.
