Levi walked the streets, sighing as the cold wind blew at his hair. He took in the sight of Marley, such a beautiful place run by such ugly people. He hated to get his hopes up, but he knew the real reason he agreed to showing up here.

Erwin.

When they fought for Wall Maria back, Levi's final decision was to save Erwin. Eren and Mikasa wailed and sobbed at the loss of their friend, distracting Levi from the threat inches away. The Cart Titan swooped in and grabbed Erwin between her teeth, careful to not puncture his skin.

Levi almost ran after them, but was stopped by Hanji trying to reason with him. He tried to push him out of his way but all the kids held him down, knowing it was too dangerous for him to go.

He was so exhausted from the fight, he couldn't even struggle. He hated to watch Erwin go, he had let Armin die for nothing. That was all that rang through his head. Armin was dead, and they were going to kill Erwin too. Tie him up and feed him to one of their comrsdes.

Hanji held him tightly that night, after they found out what was in the basement. They both refused to let go, sobs wracking through the twos bodies. They knew where Erwin was now, but it would only be a matter of time before he was dead. Levi couldn't sleep without Hanji after that day, having been so used to sleeping with Erwin.

But now, now he was in Marley. And there's a chance they kept Erwin alive. So he walked, discretely searching for anyone with blonde hair. Though that was hard, as almost everyone looked like Erwin here.

Levi slipped into an alley when the street got too crowded, as he had worn Erwin's cloak. He quickly took it off and stashed it underneath his arm, walking through the narrow space. He knew it was dangerous to have his cloak on, as dangerous as it was to have on his scouts uniform. But all he wanted was for Erwin to recognize him.

He felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck, startling him. He reached back and pulled out a dart. His eyes shot up at a tall figure standing before him, who damn sure wasn't there before. He tried to make out who they were, but his vision began to blur. He fell against the person and tried to speak, but all words dried on his tongue.

The way this person smelled, he knew. He knew who this was. This was--

-~ Hours later

Levi woke up to a small room. There was a fireplace, a cozy carpet, a one-seated couch and a table. He groaned when he remembered everything that happened, dissapointed in himself that he had let his guard down. He was probably going to die now, and strangely, he wasn't freaked out at all about it.

Maybe this was fate, his time to die. Zeke had recognized him and shot him with a dart, then kidnapped him in his most vulnerable moment. And hey, maybe he would see Erwin in the afterlife. He chuckled at the thought, Erwin shaking his head when he finds out Levi died trying to find his sorry ass.

"Something funny?" A voice said.

Levi jolted, not knowing someone else was in here with him. Zeke rose from the chair he sat in. Levi admired his hair, it was lighter and a lot less shaggier than the last time he saw him. He almost sort of looked like..

Levi's jaw dropped as Erwin turned around to look at him. He still felt numb from the dart, so he made no attempt to move. Erwin walked over and crouched before him, untying the ropes that held Levi to the chair.

Levi's eyes wandered around Erwin's outfit, and rage began to boil within him. Marleyan. Of course, he's a fucking marleyan.

Erwin smiled at him, and they stayed silent. He looked at Levi solemnly, carressing his cheek. He pulled Levi's face close to his, and kissed him softly. They kissed for a little while, exploring eachother's mouths desperately. Levi almost forgot Erwin's new occupation.
