Gyuri woke up, disoriented, as she blinked to adjust to the lights in her room. She felt a warm presence next to her and noticed Mark's figure sleeping peacefully with an arm loosely draped around her body. She sighed and laid back down to let her body wake up. She took out her phone and checked the time to realize it was 9 in the evening already.
At the movements next to him, Mark slowly woke up and squinted to see Gyuri's eyes staring up at the ceiling.
"Hey," he said softly as his voice wasn't fully up yet.
She looked over at the boy and smiled, patting his leg softly. "Hey, dude. I can't believe we fell asleep."
"What time is it?" Mark asked, looking around hazily for a clock. Gyuri's room didn't have one since she figured just her phone was all she needed.
"It's 9."
"Woah," he sighed, rubbing his eyes. "I didn't know I was tired, but I slept hella good," he chuckled softly. Gyuri nodded and slowly sat up to stretch her body with a yawn.
"How's your stomach?" Mark asked from behind her.
"Hmm," Gyuri shrugged. It still hurt like hell, but the fresh amount of rest did make the rest of her body feel better so a bit of the pain was canceled out. Mark propped himself on his arms before eventually getting out of bed and picking up the bag he had taken with him. He took out a can of liquid and held it up for the girl to see.
"Taeyong made some soup yesterday, you hungry?"
Gyuri nodded, feeling in the mood to eat something. She hadn't eaten in a while, besides a few pieces of the chocolate bars Mark had given her.
"Do you think you can come downstairs? I can bring it up here too if it's easier," he asked. Gyuri admired the thoughtfulness of his question but shook her head.
"I'll come downstairs, I'm not letting you into my kitchen unsupervised."
"Dude," Mark said, acting hurt, "what makes you think I'm a bad cook?"
"I don't know Mark, maybe the spaghetti you burned that one time or the pizza that came out of the oven roasted black?" Gyuri asked sarcastically and Mark rubbed the back of his neck, smiling shyly.
"Ah, right... yeah, those weren't my best moments," he sighed with a nod.
"I wouldn't place them in the top 10, no," Gyuri said. Mark raised a brow.
"Which would you place in the top 10, then?" He asked with a small smile. He was curious to hear if she actually had some moments in mind that she liked about him. Gyuri simply tilted her head and thought about it.
