Gyuri and Mark spent the next few weeks checking out a great variety of houses all over the city. Some were houses on the ground, others were apartments in high-rise buildings. Although it was frustrating not to have found their perfect house yet, they did enjoy looking at the places together. It was exciting to imagine what life would be like within each unique place.

The summer had slowly faded and given way to autumn, and Seoul was often coated in a layer of rain. Nevertheless, the couple's feet paced through the puddles time and time again, motivated to find a place to unite their lives in.

Every time they found a place that they didn't love as much in person, they felt as if they were perhaps setting their standards too high. They had a list of requirements that their future home needed to meet. Maybe they were being too inflexible.

Still, they both got their hopes up every time they came across a new place online that (seemed) to match their wants and needs.

"You know what they say," Mark said as they stood before a detached house in a calm neighborhood. The sun peeked through the clouds to shine upon them as they waited for the realtor to meet them at the gate.

"29th time is the charm," he finished, receiving a chuckle from Gyuri.

Once the realtor, a middle-aged woman with a polite smile, arrived, she opened the gate and allowed the couple a view of the exterior of the house. Gyuri was stunned by how great it looked in person, and her heartbeat started to speed up involuntarily.

After a moment outside, the lady guided them inside and showed them around. She took great care in explaining the layout of the house and gave the two enough time to observe each room. The house was a fluid mix of modern and traditional elements, something that they both appreciated.

Gyuri stood in the kitchen, letting her hand trail over the kitchen island. Her eyes fell on Mark, who stood with his back towards her while he observed the view from the window. Since the house was located on the beginning of a hill, it overlooked part of the city.

When they had gotten a tour of the upstairs space, the realtor left them to themselves a moment so they could take it all in and discuss.

"I think this is it," they both whispered in unison, followed by giddy giggles from the two.

"It's so wonderful," Gyuri exclaimed softly, looking around in awe. She held both of Mark's hands and shook them in excitement.

"Dude, it's like... perfect," Mark smiled. "It's everything we looked for in a house."

"I know, right?" Gyuri gasped. "I think... I think we should put down an offer, right?"

"Yeah..." Mark breathed out. "Yeah, we have to."
