It was late in the afternoon, and peace hung around Mina and Gyuri's apartment. That was, except for Gyuri's room which looked like it had been hit by a typhoon as clothes and shoes were laying out and about on any surface they landed on after Gyuri threw them behind her.
She was not one to feel incredibly self-conscious about how she looked— she liked looking put together and stylish to a certain degree, and that was it— but tonight she felt like she needed a perfect outfit for the concert, and she hadn't come across it yet. Something that was nicer than her day-to-day clothes, yet still showed her own laid-back style.
She hesitantly picked up a skirt from the floor that she didn't remember ever having worn, and held it against her legs in front of the mirror. The skirt was a dark beige and therefore made it an easy piece to style with the rest of an outfit. She tilted her head and put the skirt aside to look for a top and shoes to go with it. Considering how her entire closet had been turned upside down during her outfit-picking process, she couldn't find anything in its usual place.
Through the mirror, her eyes landed on a black button-up cropped top and she put it on. Deciding she didn't want to stand out too much anyways, she told herself this was it and pulled the skirt over her feet to see how the two pieces looked together. It looked nice, but since both clothing pieces were quite simple she decided to go with a more intense pair of shoes and dug through her closet to find a box of big black boots she usually only wore in winter. The shoes complimented the look well and Gyuri nodded to herself in the mirror. Not only was it a good outfit, but it also ensured she wouldn't get too hot in an arena full of people.
She added some simple makeup and put her hair up in a clip to contrast the smooth look of the outfit. She kept her makeup fairly simple, only adding a slightly darker lipstick than usual to change things up. While applying the cosmetics, she listened to a shuffled playlist of the concert setlist to get in the mood. She hummed along to some of the songs and tried to imagine what it would be like to hear them live.
After picking out a jacket to wear on the way to the venue, Gyuri pulled one of her many black bags out of the closet and then stood in front of the mirror once more to check the outcome. Satisfied, she nodded and flung the bag over her shoulder before leaving her room.
