"If I start violently sobbing this evening, just let me be."

"Girl, if you start crying I'm going to be right there with you," Gyuri replied to Mina as they set the dinner table.

"Gosh, so crazy to think this is our last night sharing this apartment..." Mina said, shaking her head in disbelief.

"I know..." Gyuri nodded. "We have so many memories here."

The girls had taken great care in planning one final night in the apartment together. They would watch their favorite movies, eat their favorite food, and chill on the best couch in the world.

After Gyuri and Mark had bought the house, Mina had decided she would move out of the apartment as well. It was too big for her alone, and although she was now very happy with Yejoon, she was not quite ready to move in with him. They had started dating about a month ago and were still exploring the newness of their relationship. Mina figured it would be nice to live on her own for a while, something she hadn't done before. It was officially 2024 now, and it was time for some change.

Gyuri, after much convincing, finally managed to get Mina to accept Toto as a parting gift. The feline hung out in Mina's room more than any other, and Gyuri had a sneaky feeling the cat liked her more than its official owner. Gyuri herself would be taking Charlie with her.

However, for now, it was still the four of them. Just like it had been for years. Tomorrow was moving day for Gyuri and although she had already packed up most of her stuff upstairs, none of that was visible downstairs, where nothing had changed.

"Hey, how did Mark enjoy your little... surprise?" Mina asked, referring to their anniversary date night.

Gyuri bit her lip as her mind was flooded with memories of that night. "Well... let's just say he liked it very much,"

Mina smirked, fist-bumping her friend. "Good for you, honestly."

Gyuri cleared her throat. "How's Yejoon anyway?"

Mina laughed at her smooth change of subject but accepted it. "He's... great. I feel like... I don't know, we might be going too fast but- I like the speed, if that makes sense."

"It does," Gyuri nodded, "hey if it works, it works. I'm just happy to see you so happy."

"Thanks," Mina smiled just as they finished setting the table. A self-made lasagna was currently in the oven. It was a recipe that they had been making for ages, and it felt like a good option for dinner on this special night.

"He said he wants to take me to Jeju this summer," Mina said as the girls sat down in front of the oven, hypnotized by the smell that came from it. Their reflections were visible in the glass door.
