"C'mon Charlie, let's go,"
The Bernese stepped away from the dog it had run into as Gyuri softly pulled Charlie's leash. She smiled politely at the other dog owner before continuing her walk along the Han river. She had her big scarf wrapped tightly around her head to the point where only her eyes peeked over it.
It was late in the afternoon, and there weren't a lot of people around, probably because of the weather. Most of the people that went on walks this time of year were dog owners, with the exception of a few die-hard walk addicts. She occasionally ran into some businessmen and women on their way to work or students on their way to school but most people tried being outside as little as possible.
Glancing to her right, Gyuri could see the high towers of SM Entertainment glistening in the winter sun. She thought about Mark, who was probably in there at that moment. They hadn't spoken a lot since Mark was very busy, and even though Gyuri understood that, she was a little worried. She wanted to know if he was taking care of himself, especially now that he had so many practices every day. She knew he could take care of himself, but if he would was another story.
The last time they had spoken was three days earlier, but even that was nothing more than a simple "how are you" and "I'm fine" before their messages died down again. Gyuri couldn't help but feel defeated since she wanted to hang out with him but didn't want to ask him to give up the little amount of free time he had for her, because she knew he would do so without hesitation. His health came first so for this little while, she let him do his thing while waiting for the chaos to slow down.
After all, it wasn't like Gyuri was sitting around doing nothing all day. If she didn't have uni or work, she'd launch herself onto her thesis which she had recently started working on. It was a big project, so any opportunity she had to work on it, she took with both hands. The deadline was still far away, but both Mina and Gyuri could imagine the stress they would feel when they got closer to it. This was the final piece of their master's degree, the thing that would (hopefully) secure them that holy piece of paper.
She blindly followed Charlie around the park they had reached. While her dog happily waddled around, Gyuri thought about texting Mark. She had taken on a rule to not text him first when he was this busy but she couldn't help wondering how he was doing. Just as she opened her messages, however, a new text came in but it wasn't Mark.
