Gyuri's phone, which showed a FaceTime call with Nia and Ruby, showed two very surprised faces after Ruby told the girls about two SM staff members getting... comfortable with each other in one of the office spaces. Nothing really shameless had happened aside from some very heated kisses, but it seemed the two staff members had been so intoxicated with one another that they forgot about the glass door of the office, recalled Ruby.
"Well, at least they weren't actually making love," Nia shrugged.
"Yet!" Ruby added to which Gyuri chuckled. "I almost witnessed a baby being conceived!"
"About that..." Nia spoke up. Ruby and Gyuri immediately fell silent at the implication of Nia's words. Ruby gasped softly as she waited for Nia to confirm what she was thinking.
"Jaehyun and I have started trying for a baby," Nia smiled shyly. Gyuri shrieked and clapped excitedly while Ruby could be seen jumping up and down on the screen, partially going out of frame every time she was in the air.
"That's so exciting!" Gyuri said. "Congratulations!"
"Oh my god, I can't wait to have a little Nia or Jae walking around. I'm gonna spoil that little kid so much, I feel it in my bones. My aunt instincts are already spiking," Ruby rambled. Nia chuckled softly as she wore a tilted smile.
"So I'm guessing you talked to him about his hints then?" Gyuri asked and Nia nodded. "Yeah, we had a long conversation about it the other day. And I mean, I obviously had a lot of time to think about it before talking to him so as we were talking I realized I feel ready to do this with him. If we do get blessed, it's gonna be chaotic for sure but I think we're ready to take on that challenge."
Ruby cooed at Nia's words and Gyuri smiled giddily. It was so heartwarming to hear Nia talk about her relationship with Jaehyun because they were such a special couple. They defeated the odds and broke down any barriers life placed in their way so Gyuri had no doubt they could raise a child together. She could picture it very well; the two would be very loving parents and raise their kids with the right values.
The girls chatted on for a while, talking about all things related to Nia and Jaehyun's wish to have children together until Gyuri had to leave for work. She said goodbye to the two girls and prepared for another day at the clinic. Things felt different now that she had received the offer to take over the clinic eventually. She came to the clinic with a whole new feeling in her chest, but not a bad one. She felt excited and ready to prove her worth.
