"And so

"And so... we kind of, like, switched it up like that."

"I love it, honestly."

Gyuri smiled at Mark through her phone as the boy explained some concepts for NCT DREAM's upcoming concert on FaceTime. They were very busy with practice, so it was a little harder to meet up in person. Instead, they turned to modern technology to keep in contact.

"Oh, by the way, I stepped into the psychologist's office here yesterday. I told her a little bit about your situation, and she said she's happy to talk to you sometime, if you feel comfortable," Mark explained.

"Oh, yeah?" Gyuri asked. She hadn't been sure whether or not it would be okay for her to talk to SM's therapist, but she figured it was fine if the woman said so herself.

"Yeah. She said that EMDR therapy might be a good option in your case. Apparently that's something they often use when people have suffered traumatic events."

Gyuri nodded. "Oh, I think I've heard of that."

"I'll just send you her number, then you can text her for an appointment if you want."

Gyuri smiled softly. "Yeah, thanks."

"No problem. What're you doing for the rest of the day?" Mark asked, leaning back into the couch he was sitting on as he took a sip of water. His sweaty hair clung to his forehead, a testament to the hard work he was delivering.

"I think I'm gonna go to the clinic later, there's some furniture arriving. Wanna make sure it's all good."

"When's the opening again?" Mark said, closing his eyes as he tried to remember the exact date.

"The 4th of August. Just after your birthday," Gyuri reminded him.

"Ah, right. I'll try to be there. It's gonna be tough, but I'll figure something out," he promised her.

"Hey, I'd love to have you there, but if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. You're a busy guy."

"That I am," Mark chuckled. "No, I'm sure I can stop by for a little whi-"

"Gyuri! Hey!" A voice sounded from next to Mark as Chenle climbed onto the couch and pushed himself into the frame to wave at the girl. Gyuri chuckled and waved back at him. Mark shook his head.

"How are you? You guys are really busy," Gyuri asked him and Chenle groaned.

"It's crazy. I don't even have enough time to walk Daegal," the boy pouted. "I'm living at the company at this point."

"That's horrible," Gyuri said. "Please make sure to eat well. All of you. And hey, I can walk Daegal for you if you want."

Chenle's eyes lit up. "You would?"

Gyuri chuckled a little at his surprised response. "Of course. Why not? I need to walk Charlie anyway, so if I need to pick up Daegal to take her along just let me know."
