This has been a (very) long ride, I can't believe we actually made it to the end...
There have been so many times were I lost motivation to write, or inspiration, and almost gave up on this book but I was always determined to complete it. I have started and then stopped writing so many books before, I wanted this one to be different.
The reason I started writing this was because I wanted to write a Mark fanfic that really made you feel like you were part of the character's lives; instead of being a shorter, plot-driven story, I wanted it to be very long and centered around characters and storylines that felt realistic. I wanted it to feel real.
I want to thank each and every one of you for giving this story your attention.
If you were here from the start; thank you for staying (you're literally god's strongest soldiers, I would've given up on me a long time ago lolllolol)
I can definitely promise you I'll never write a fanfic this long again 😭
I enjoyed reading all of your comments, they really made my day. It is so silly to think I write these words by myself and somewhere on this planet, there is somebody I don't know who's reading them. But I'm so thankful :)
Here are a few fun facts about this story for those who care:
❦ The entire story is made up of 184,363 words in total
❦ I started writing on November 17th, 2022 and finished writing July 17th, 2024.
❦ The story was originally going to be even longer (100+ chapters) but when I got closer to the end, I started mashing chapter ideas together and I also cut some stuff out.
❦ There was also going to be some big miscommunication/angsty stuff right before the end but I eventually decided against it, since it felt a bit forced.
❦ I'm pretty sure this is only my third ever completed fanfiction, if you count the one direction fics I wrote when I was like 13 😭
Who knows, I might return here for some bonus chapters at some point but for now I'm going to take a nice break from this book hahahhahahahha I need a Changes detox
