10: 30 DAZE

One month....thirty days!.....How the hell was he supposed to win over someone.....not just someone....the faculty GOD that everyone was chasing after in that short amount of time??? Two days had already passed...only four weeks left...he had assignments due for THIS class, and THAT class...oh no....a test on this day...ANOTHER test on that day....ARGH, then a final exam...a final project......If he didn't count the days for homework and time needed for sleeping....how many days did he have left to win him over?? Rain collapsed in a pool of chaotic hopelessness on his desk clutching his school calendar in the empty classroom....

This is how Sky found him after searching everywhere for the last 15 minutes.

He stood over the desk shaking his head at the pitiful sight and did what any good friend would do.....he smacked Rain on the head to make him snap out of it.

"Have you gone completely crazy? What are you whining about now?"

"Hey Skkyyyyy, you'll help me right??

Sky was the only one he can rely on to turn Mission Impossible into Mission Possible.

"You'll help me figure out how I can win him over in 30 days?"

"HIM??" Sky knew about his dating history, so this was news.

"Yes, him," he confirmed.

Sky didn't ask for a name, and Rain didn't offer one up, but Sky already had his suspicions.

Rain was a little surprised at himself. Sometime between the time he woke up in Phayu's bed (again!!) to the time that same guy had dropped him off at his house and given him a firm deadline to accomplish his mission, he had somehow fully reconciled with the idea of dating HIM.

*** TWO DAYS AGO ***

Rain woke up the next morning and the events of the night rushed over him. Not the part where he almost lost his life sneaking into a top-secret, illegal, Mafia-run street race, but the part where he grabbed Phayu and kissed him like it was a Muay Thai face-off.

Ugh....Slick Rain, real slick...he thought to himself as he thrashed around the bed in mortification.

With utter embarrassment, Rain recalled telling Phayu that he would 'make him fall in love with him'!!

WHAT???? What the hell was he thinking??

Yet.....he also remembered the feeling of despair when Phayu had dismissed him and told him to go home.

Knock, knock, knock.

Rain sits up in bed and hurriedly straightens his sleep-tousled hair.

Phayu strolls into the room looking fresh and handsome despite the crazy night they had.

Based on the agitation on Rain's face, he can see that Rain is second-guessing his promise....just as he expected.

"What's the matter? Are you being a coward?" He says calmly, looking directly at Rain.

Rain bristles immediately, never one to back down from a dare. "Who's a coward?"

"I thought you were already giving up," Phayu presses on his weak spot with no qualms.

"I won't lose to you Phi," Rain says with renewed determination.
