20: JEALOUSY

It had been a week since Phayu came to his house and they officially became a couple.

This was also Final Exam Week, so they hadn't seen each other in person much. They had grabbed a quick dinner together one night, but Phayu was very strict about not interfering with his study schedule.

Phayu had promised to take him out on a real date if he did well on the exams and that was the motivation he needed to focus.

It didn't stop them though from flirting and texting when Rain took his breaks throughout the day or video calling at night before they went to sleep. 

The one upside to talking on the phone versus being in the same room is that they actually talked, opening up to each other about big and little things.

Rain was loving learning Phayu. And he was also discovering new things about himself in the process.

Phayu liked order, setting rules when needed, and doing things his way for select things that were important to him.

Rain would never have believed that he would appreciate that being stubborn and used to getting his way. But he actually found it liberating. 

He didn't have to waste time navigating or guessing what his boyfriend wanted. He knew exactly where he stood and what he needed to do around Phayu.

Yes, Phayu was controlling, but Rain didn't feel controlled. 

Phayu indulged Rain constantly, letting him have his way too. Rain never felt like he couldn't push back or ask for what he wanted with Phayu. If he got a no, it was usually for a good reason or his own good.

So Rain flirted and pushed Phayu's buttons over texts every chance he got to see how far he could go. All week, he giggled and smirked over his phone, trying to ignore the fact that he was more excited by the threat of potential punishments than he rationally should be.

He knew without a doubt that Phayu would never hurt him. The only time Phayu was angry was when he thought Rain had recklessly put his life in danger. Even when he had spanked him in punishment, Rain had not felt fear or actual pain.

Sky had watched his BFF grinning like a fool as he blushed and simpered while texting during their breaks.

As if he could not guess what this was. He knew infatuation when he saw it.

They were waiting to enter the classroom for the last Final Exam of their Freshman year when their friend Ple came over and asked Rain to meet up afterward.

Rain was unsure what to think. During their first semester at University, before he had met Phayu, he and Ple had gone on a couple of casual dates.

Ple was one of the most beautiful and sought-after girls in their class. She was part of their friend group along with Sig, Por, and Sky. They all hung out, studied together, and went out for drinks when they needed to let loose.
