21: DATE NIGHT

Rain stared into his closet. His bed was already littered with clothes he had tried on for their first official date.

Of course, they had gone out so many times already to eat, but none of those had been an official date. Phayu had promised to take him to the movies and then out to eat.

He finally put on his favorite jeans with the stripe running down the side, a t-shirt, and a designer shirt with a blue swirly pattern that was new. This should work no matter where they went.

His phone pinged.

Rain ran outside and saw Phayu waiting by the gate.

His footsteps slowed as he approached....damn....he looked amazing.

He was wearing a white linen shirt that was loose with the first 2 buttons open and jeans that looked like it was made just for him. The open collar of his shirt exposed his broad chest and the silver necklace that he always wore with a little decorative cross dangling from it.

Attraction and jealousy hit him all at once.

The conversation from yesterday came back to prick at him. Rain's mouth turned down at the corners with insecurity and irritation.

He had noticed everyone staring at Phayu no matter where they went. He garnered attention and admiration like a magnet.

Phayu noticed how quiet he had become and the unhappy twist on his lips. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm just annoyed by an attractively charming person," Rain huffed giving Phayu a sulky look.

"Since you're annoyed, does it mean you don't want to go to the movies anymore?" Phayu asked knowing exactly how to tease Rain out of his grumpiness.

"Of course I do! You said you would take me there after exams!"

"Then please smile a little. I want my boyfriend to be in a good mood," Phayu said stroking his head.

Rain realized how stupid he was being. Phayu hadn't done anything wrong. He had come today to spend the day with him and he was being an ass. He had been so looking forward to today. He would be an idiot to ruin it before it even starts.

A small smile finally broke through.

Phayu took his hand and led him over to the big bike that was parked at the curb.

"Have you ever ridden a big bike?" Rain shook his head no.

"What about riding on the back of one? Ever done that?"

"No."

"Then you'll get to try it out today."

"Really Phi?" Rain's face lit up with delight.

Phayu took out a helmet, put it on Rain's head, fixed his hair, and smiled tenderly at his excitement.

Rain watched as his gorgeous boyfriend straddled the bike expertly looking like a fantasy come to life. Shivers of excitement went through him as Phayu urged him to get on the raised seat behind him.

He took Rain's hands and firmly pulled them around his waist and teased, "Hug me properly. If your hands touch something else, I won't guarantee your safety tonight."

Rain smacked his shoulder for the naughty comment, but melted happily against Phayu's broad back and wrapped his arms possessively around his waist as he pulled out onto the street.
