Rain.
Plop Plop Plop Plop Plop
It's raining now too.
Of course.
Even when he had thought bad things were happening to him in the rain, they turned out to be good....He smiles.
Some of the most memorable...maybe even wonderful....moments of his life happened when it rained.
The night of the flat tire....it was raining.
When his car wouldn't start after the mixer....a downpour.
When he was devastated by the professor's harsh words....the skies wept with him.
And again now.... it is raining.
But this time, he is not scared or miserable.
He's happy....Not just happy, jumping out of his skin in excitement happy.
Because something significant had happened.
And every time it rained, he came to him.
Weather aside, he was always there when Rain needed him.
So he will come. Rain was sure of it.
That's why it didn't even phase him to be standing outside his house, getting soaked to the skin.

An hour of waiting slipped into two.
His calls had gone straight through to voicemail, and his texts went unanswered.
But it didn't matter.
He will come.

Rain's faith paid off at the end of the second hour when he saw the headlights pulling into the narrow residential street.
Rain had only been to the house once - the night of the race when Phayu dragged him here to vent his fury.
He was glad he paid attention the next morning when Phayu drove him home. Otherwise, he would have never remembered the location.
He had gone to the garage but was told that Phayu would not come there after work and would likely go straight home.
He had driven here and found the house.
He was so excited and jumpy that it didn't even occur to him to wait in the car when it started raining.
