Even though he had seen some races up close the other day, this one felt wildly different because the person he cared for most in this world was racing.
He knew of course that this was a high-speed race, but he hadn't quite realized that they reached speeds of over 100 mph on those bikes.
His heart was in his throat as he mindlessly clutched the chain link fence and swallowed back the squeals of fear when Phayu took those curves with his body nearly parallel to the track.

He didn't know if the other bike was ahead or behind, he didn't care.
The only time he even paid any attention to it was when it was frighteningly close to Phayu's bike. He forgot to breathe in those moments as the other rider drew too close, so impossible to tell from this vantage point whether Stop's bike was inches or feet away.
He was also ever alert for any deliberate misdeed on the part of the other rider, not trusting him to play fair.
It was only when Phayu steered his bike to the pit crew after crossing the finish line, that Rain looked to see the position of the other rider, noting gleefully that he was way behind not even having crossed the finish line yet.
Rain started running.
He didn't care that Saifah or Prapai were watching.
He didn't care that all the mechanics were around.
Hell, he didn't even care that Khun Pakin was here.
All he cared about was that Phayu was safe.....and he had won!! Decisively.
Arrogant fucking asshole! Thinking he can beat my Phayu!
Rain saw his man step off the bike and pull off his helmet.
Phayu didn't even bother to look for Stop or even to check whether he had crossed the finish line.
His eyes searched only for Rain.
Even though he could barely draw in a deep breath and was hyperventilating from the adrenaline rush, his face lit up with the biggest smile when he spotted his Rain.
He planted his feet and braced himself because it didn't look like Rain was going to slow down.
Thud.
Rain barreled into Phayu's chest with a loud smack, joyfully wrapping his arms around his man, lips ecstatically joining together.
