König POV:
It’s been five days since the mission at Naples. We made it back at the base the day after Viktor’s death to avoid any crossfire with the Mafia. However, the other crew Price sent to the trading ports manage to find out what the Italians were smuggling to the Wolves. The cargo carts were filled with mechanical parts to build a bomb, multiple of them. The one of them looked enough to have a very powerful kick to them and take down a whole Skyscraper. Captain Price called us in his office in regards of the situation, Laswell was also informed of the cargo and joined in on the meeting through her laptop. However, a part of me has been arching for the briefing to end, just so I can talk to Price about another “situation.”
“My Tech team is already scanning for fingerprints, hair strands, anything on those carts just so we can bring a suspect in for interrogation.” Laswell said.
“My boys will keep an eye out for any suspicious activity in the meantime. We already have a lead in Paris and plan to head there once the chaos dies down.”
“Be careful, Price. We don’t want another uproar like what happened in Naples. I’ll arrive at your base in around 3 hours. For the meantime, make sure the issue doesn’t escape this time.”
“Hm. Take care, Laswell.” After that Price ended the communication with the agent. He turned to me and others.
“Alright men, you know the drill, we’ll be setting off to Paris in a few weeks. A full plan of how we’ll reach the warehouse is highly preferrable. We can’t have any more distractions like last time. You are all dismissed.”
The crew left one by one while I remained in my seat. Price noticed and asked about my concern.
“König, I see you still have questions. How can I help you, mate?”
“It’s...about Y/n.” Price’s movement paused for a moment before resuming.
“She’s being highly watched. There’s no reason to worry about her escaping, I took away all her fancy gadgets and Laswell will arrive today to pick her up.”
“That’s not what I want to talk about, Sir.” The pen in Price’s hand stopped as he looked at me with curiosity
“What is it about her that you’re worried about, son?” His mildly stern voice almost made me regret what I had to say next.
“I think that she should be given another chance to work with us.”
“König...” Price sighed “Y/n isn’t the type of person who likes to work with people or likes people in general. Her risky behavior almost had us compromised and the wolves are a few steps ahead of us. You know I want to win this race.”
“I understand that, but she was also the one who found out about the warehouse in Paris.”
