Konig POV:
Where the hell am I?
It was nothing but darkness all around. I could feel myself but nothing at the same time, as if I was floating. Was I dying? Did I finally kick the bucket?
Fear didn't really strike me but rather confusion. What led to this happening? My brain rattled as I tried to remember the events and it finally clicked.
I GOT SHOT AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO Y/N!
I tried to get out of this limbo phase as fast as possible. I can't accept death just yet, I want to know if Y/n is alright!
Muffled voices rang in my ears but I couldn't focus on that.
"Doctor, he's starting to wake up…"
Wait. Doctor? That means I made it to a hospital.
As my body felt more present, my eyes flickered open to a bright light but the surroundings were not similar to a hospital. It was a huge tent that had medical equipment and medicine. After moments of scanning the room, I finally met eyes with a man above my right side.
“Konig, Can you hear me?” I was still in a daze but understood the man quickly and nodded.
“That’s good, I am Dr. Reindall, we are in the CIA camp base. The arrow you shot with was laced with the toxin from a poisonous plant. You were lucky you brought in in time before the poison spread to your heart.”
There was a cool breeze on my forehead, I felt around my face to find that my mask was gone.
“Oh, sorry about that. We had to take off your mask to get the respirator on you.” He apologized.
“No, That’s alright, I'm grateful you saved my life…Doctor, do you know if Y/n is around here in the camp?” I asked nervously.
“Yes actually, she came here to check up on you three hours ago. But right now, she’s in hot water with Laswell.”
“Three hours??” I looked at him bewildered. Looking at the nearby clock, it read 1:34 am. Fuck, what about Price and the others?
“Well, you were unconscious for quite a while, had we wasted any more time the poison would have put you in a coma or you could have died.” I nodded to his statement as I slowly sat up from the hospital bed. The nurse grabbed my shoulders to stop me.
“You can’t be serious about walking, your wounds still need to heal!” She rebuked.
“Ma’am, I’ve taken 3 bullets before and even worse. I just want to see Y/n and Laswell right now.”
The doctor and nurse gave each other a look, they knew from my desperate voice that I was committed.
“Well…it’s not like we can physically stop you, so go ahead. But we have to change your bandages tomorrow so try not to run.” The doctor gave me the green light, I thanked him and headed my way.
There were at least six tents set up, so I asked around for Laswell’s whereabouts and finally got an answer. Making my way to her tent, I started to feel a bit dizzy, the damn arrow wound was giving me hell, even walking was hard for me. I was about to open the sheets to the tent when I heard Laswell and Y/n arguing.
“We can’t just kill her, we need more answers from her.” That was an unexpected outburst from Laswell.
“I don’t see why not. When me and Konig were in the tunnels, you told us to dip and leave the scientist behind."
