Wolf Spider POV:

“<Make sure you get it taken care of, I want no loose ends. Do I make myself clear?!>” I hung up the phone as I slammed my whisky glass to the ground. The glass shards scattered as I paced around with the cigar in my hand. A knock was heard from the door before the knob turned.

“<Is everything alright, My Lady?>” Said my assistant, Felix, as he entered my office with caution.

“<I’m fine..It’s just these idiot pigs that don’t know how to keep the Press quiet.>” I cursed my breath as Felix examined my body.

“<My Lady… your leg is bleeding…” I looked to see my left leg, slowly oozing a beautiful crimson liquid.

“<Here, let me clean you up.>” Felix urged me to sit down on the chair as he pulled out his handkerchief and started wiping the blood.

“<This whole month has been a mess.>” I vented, “<It feels like there are arrows all pointed in my direction. Tell me, Felix and tell me the truth…Am I losing my hold in this family of ours?>”

Felix looked up to me but didn’t stop wiping the blood off my leg.

“<Of course not, my Lady. Those who think that are nothing but fools, mindless rabbits that are that at the bottom of the food chain.>”

I looked at him for a moment and finally cracked a smile. My hands clasped his free hand.

“<This is why I made you my right-hand man. This is why I named you The Butcher in the first place.>” I said as I lifted up his sleeve, revealing his tattoo of a wolf’s head and touched it softly.

“< This is why you are the only one with this tattoo I chose specifically. The wolves can’t compare to you. The X’s on their faces mean nothing to me but target practice for the enemies. But you never cease to fail me.>” I leaned in and gave him a light kiss before getting up and walking to my desk.

“<You are dismissed for now. Make sure the wolves I send to Paris are heavily armed because I have a feeling that a assassin isn’t the only one after us.>”

“<Yes, my Lady.>”

With a quick bow, Felix left my office. I pulled out my tablet replaying the camera footage of the masked-girl who was at Viktor’s party. She has piqued my interest ever since Leonid mentioned her.

“Soon, I’ll find out who you really are.” I said to myself before putting the tablet in my drawer.
