A world laid at peace, lands filled with tranquillity,

Supernatural races hiding quietly among human communities,

Barely an act of violence or aggression,

There was nothing the living could question.

Then tranquillity broke and chaos reigned,

Aid and resources were strained.

The chaos continued unexplained,

The leaders of the races were ordained.

A power appears out of sight,

Something that the leaders did not fight,

It only fought under the moonlight,

No one ever laid eyes on this Great Fright.

The leaders couldn't control this battle,

Only found themselves in a struggle.

The lands were in a scramble,

The leaders took a gamble.

Their world was falling beneath their feet,

Their enemies had them beat.

The leaders accused allies of deceit,

Countries began to retreat.

And so began their downfall,

The races started to brawl,

And started to maul,

The leaders couldn't stop the fall.

All they could do was pray,

And continue to try,

Because by falling skies,

A leader must rise.

Balance is everything; it's the scale of life and death, peace and violence. It was the one rule Mother Earth gave us: do not disrupt the order of balance. It was one rule that shouldn't have been broken, but some rules were made to be broken and everything fell. If you stay still long enough and listen long enough, you could feel it; I could feel it. I could feel the violence and the chaos, waiting for the opportune moment to come forward and destroy the peace that we all know. Unfortunately, it didn't come fast enough for me. I'd rather face a hundred rouges on my own than my mate.

One moment, I was enjoying the peaceful silence of nature, making sure that chaos wasn't going to knock on our doorstep any time soon but that was until my mate screamed my name in our mate-link. She's pregnant with our second son and she wasn't very happy with me when she found out. Her pregnancy with our first son, well, we can always say he was pain and the day of his birth didn't go as planned either, which didn't help at all.
