Righto folks, here is another one. I was meant to update this last week but I had to do some assignment work for Uni, which in speaking, this could be the last update for a few weeks. I'm not sure, I'll try to update when the study break rolls around but no promises.

Also, my birthday is tomorrow so think of this as my birthday gift to you. Enjoy.

Chase

The room was silent a moment longer before it erupted like Mount Saint Helens. I flinched at the level of volume used to speak over one another and I had to resist the urge to cover my ears. 'Well, Skylar is right. We are indeed, deeply and utterly screwed,' Levi muttered. 'Very.' Elric agreed. I couldn't say anything; there was nothing to say, except how in the bloody, fucking hell do we fight that? 'Cover your ears, boys.' Aria growled and I immediately did as she said. Goddess, I hate it when she whistles.

'At least it gets everyone's attention,' Levi replied and I scoffed. "If you all are finished?" Aria asked, her voice full of authority and I shivered. "Good." She muttered before walking back around her desk and sitting in my lap again. I wrapped my arms around her instantly and held her tightly. I still can't get the fact around my head that she was almost swallowed alive a few hours ago. 'Focus on me, baby, only on me,' Ari whispered and breathed her scent, effectively calming me down. 'That's it.' She stroked her thumb over my hand on her stomach and I shivered again.

If I'm not careful, I'll get a boner in the middle of this meeting. 'Hmm, that'll be interesting in deed,' Ari teased me by wiggling her sexy ass on me. From the other side of the room, it just looks like she's readjusting herself to get comfortable again but for me, it was torture. I grunted behind her, muffling the sound with her back. 'Please,' I whimpered pathetically. 'Alright, babe. I'll stop...for now.' She taunted and I gulped. "How are we suppose to fight something like that?" Namir asked. "I could be wrong, I'm hoping I'm wrong but I still wouldn't risk it." Conner replied.

"What are these monsters called?" Nicole asked. "We named them Miniatus Daemon. Miniatus is Latin for damage. Daemon has multiple meanings but the Jewish, Christian meaning is evil spirit," Conner answered. "Damage spirit..., its fitting." Serenity muttered. "It was Ara's suggestion actually," Jude said casually and I notice Conner shot him a look. I squeezed Ari's side and she looked to Conner as well. "Speaking of which," Aria started and a look of uneasiness flashed crossed his face before masking it.

"Before, you spoke of Aralim in present tense," this caught everyone's attention. "Is he still alive?" Ari asked. "And please don't lie to me, I'll know." She added as Conner went to answer. He sighed as he answered, "Yes, he is but don't even ask, Aria or anyone. The answer is no," "Why the hell not?" Kylar exclaimed. "Because each and every time my uncle tried to rejoin society, he was constantly rejected, verbally abused and pushed aside like he was nothing more than trash. He even met his mate, three of them. Have a guess what they did?" Conner asked rhetorically.

"They rejected him." Andrew whispered quietly. "Officially, they didn't even give themselves the time to get to know him before they did it," we all flinched at the word. The only way any an animal would let their human reject their other halves officially, upon first meeting is if they didn't want them at all. "Exactly, and after the last rejection from his third mate, he had enough. From society and from ever find the one who would love him unconditionally. He wanted no part of anything outside of his cave. He barely leaves his home for food, it was up to my grandfather to hunt for him until he felt comfortable enough to be outside again and at times I still had to do that when he had gotten into a stoop." Conner sighed.

"You did? What about Caius or even your father?" Serenity asked. "Caius went to live with him full time after handing the throne down to my grandfather, his son, to make sure he didn't do anything stupid. As for my father, he never clicked with Ara. He hated the man, for who he was and what he was. I also believed he was jealous. My grandfather was constantly worried about Ara and would often leave to see if they were alright. My father turned bitter after that and my grandfather felt guilty for it," "There's more, isn't there?" Aria asked.
